Lucid registered 40 vehicles across its five European markets in September, its second-highest monthly total of 2026 after June, as Germany matched August’s level and Belgium posted its best month since the brand’s launch there, national registration data show.
The total was up from 30 in August and from 11 in September 2025, according to data from Germany, the Netherlands, Norway, Switzerland and Belgium compiled by EV.
The September gain left Lucid’s nine-month European total at 256 vehicles, essentially flat from 255 a year earlier.
Registrations include test drive, showroom and press vehicles, and do not correspond directly to customer deliveries.
Germany Carries the Month
Germany, Lucid’s largest European market, accounted for 26 registrations in September, the same as in August, according to the Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt (KBA).
That was more than five times the five units registered in September 2025, a 420% increase, and brought the January-to-September German total to 166, up 17.7%, the KBA said.
Germany made up 65% of Lucid’s European registrations in the first nine months of the year.
Lucid’s German third-quarter total reached 58, down from 68 a year earlier, as July’s weak result offset the August and September gains.
The back-to-back months of 26 followed a slump to six registrations in July, the brand’s weakest German month of 2026.
The Gravity accounted for 87 of Lucid’s 140 German registrations in the first eight months of the year, against 53 for the Air, according to EU-EVs estimates, as the SUV replaced the sedan as the brand’s main model in the country.
Lucid’s 26 registrations compared with 88,599 battery-electric cars registered in Germany in September, a 34.5% share and more than a third of the market, according to the KBA.
Lucid cut the entry price of the Gravity in Germany to €94,900 ($106,400) from €99,900 on August 19 and added two trims.
Netherlands, Norway and Belgium
In the Netherlands, Lucid registered four vehicles in September, all Gravity SUVs, up from three a year earlier, according to the monthly sales tables published by BOVAG and RAI Vereniging.
Lucid’s Dutch total for the first nine months rose to 39 from 37, with the Gravity accounting for 28 and the Air for 11, the tables show.
All 37 of Lucid’s Dutch registrations in the same period of 2025 were Air sedans.
The Netherlands hosts Lucid’s European headquarters, in Hilversum.
In Norway, Lucid registered two vehicles in September, both Gravity SUVs, after zero in July and August, according to Elbilstatistikk, which tracks the national vehicle register.
Lucid’s Norwegian total for the year stands at eight, down from 18 in the first nine months of 2025.
Lucid has registered 40 vehicles in Norway since entering the market, 33 Air sedans and seven Gravity SUVs, including four Air parallel imports, Elbilstatistikk data show.
Lucid’s Dutch and Norwegian September figures coincided with quarter-end offers in both markets that required orders and deliveries by September 30.
In Belgium, where Lucid launched in June, the brand registered three vehicles in September, according to the Belgian automotive federation FEBIAC, after none in August.
FEBIAC data put Lucid’s Belgian total for the year at 10, up from five a year earlier.
Switzerland Recovers
Switzerland, Lucid’s only European market to grow in 2025, recorded five registrations in September, up from three a year earlier and one in August, according to EU-EVs, which compiles national registration data.
The Swiss figure was the highest since June, when Lucid registered nine vehicles in the country.
Lucid’s Swiss total for the year is 33, down 38.9% from 54 in the same period of 2025.
Auto-schweiz, the Swiss importers’ association, does not list Lucid separately in its monthly brand tables.
A Weaker Third Quarter
The September total lifted Lucid’s third-quarter European registrations to 82, down 30.5% from 118 a year earlier and down 29.9% from 117 in the second quarter.
July 2025 had been Lucid’s strongest European month of last year, with 84 registrations, a comparison that weighs on the quarterly figure.
Lucid’s June total of 53 remains its highest European month of 2026.
Across the five markets, Lucid registered 18 vehicles in January, 12 in February, 24 in March, 29 in April, 35 in May, 53 in June, 12 in July, 30 in August and 40 in September, a series that excludes three Belgian registrations FEBIAC recorded before the June launch.
The 82 European registrations in the third quarter were equivalent to about 2% of the 3,806 vehicles Lucid delivered worldwide in the period, though registrations and deliveries are not directly comparable.
Lucid said on October 5 that third-quarter deliveries fell 6.7% from a year earlier, while production dropped to 2,954 vehicles after one of the production shifts was cut.
Expansion Plans
Lucid has been adding partners to its European network since naming Wackenhut as its first European retail partner in Germany and Munsterhuis Autobedrijven as its first Dutch partner in August.
EV first reported both European partners.
On October 6, Lucid named Autohaus Possögel in Naumburg as a service-only partner in eastern Germany from December.
The company also launched its Lucid Recharged certified pre-owned program in Germany, Switzerland, the Netherlands and Norway, initially covering only the Air.
Lucid announced in September that France would become its sixth European market, working with Emil Frey’s French import division.
Lawrence Hamilton, Lucid’s President of Europe, is due to give more details on the French launch at a press conference at the Paris Motor Show on October 12.
Lucid has published French prices starting at €86,900 ($97,400) for the Air and €95,900 ($107,500) for the Gravity, but has not said when orders or deliveries will begin.
