Lucid registered 42 vehicles in Germany in October, up from one a year earlier and its highest monthly total since July 2025, according to data published on Wednesday by the Federal Motor Transport Authority (KBA).
Shares of the Saudi-backed EV maker were up 12.25% at $3.39 at 9:44 a.m. in New York, as US stocks rose at the open a day after the midterm elections, with the S&P 500 up 1.7% and the Nasdaq Composite up 2.1%.
The KBA lists the year-on-year change as 4,100%, a figure driven by the near-zero base. The October figure was up 62% from 26 in September and took Lucid’s total for the first 10 months of the year to 208, up 46.5% from 142 in the same period of 2025.
That is already more than the 183 vehicles Lucid registered in Germany in all of 2025. It remains below the 392 it registered in 2024.

Registrations include test drive, showroom and press vehicles and do not correspond directly to customer deliveries.
October was Lucid’s strongest month in Germany this year, ahead of the 31 it registered in June.
The company registered 11 vehicles in January, seven in February and 17 in March, followed by 21 in each of April and May. After June, registrations fell to six in July before recovering to 26 in each of August and September.
The last time Lucid registered more vehicles in a single month in Germany was July 2025, when it recorded 46.
October’s 42 registrations equal the total for the whole of the fourth quarter of 2025. October 2025, with a single registration, was Lucid’s weakest month of that year.
Lucid’s German registrations fell 53% in 2025 from 2024.
The KBA’s monthly press release does not break down registrations by model, so it does not show how October’s total split between the Air sedan and the Gravity SUV.
Data compiled by EU-EVs show the Gravity accounted for 87 of Lucid’s 140 German registrations in the first eight months of the year, reversing the 2025 balance, when the Air made up most of the total.
Lucid opened Gravity orders in Germany in September 2025 and made its first German handovers of the SUV in April.
A Record Month for EVs
Lucid’s figures came in a month when fully electric cars took 37.0% of the German market, above September’s record of 34.5%.
Battery electric registrations rose 79.5% to 94,086 of the 254,492 new cars registered in October, the KBA said.
Germany reinstated a purchase incentive for electric cars this year, which opened for applications in May and applies retroactively from January 1.
Lucid’s 42 registrations amount to about 0.04% of that battery electric total.
Tesla registered 2,932 vehicles, up 290.9%, and Polestar 292, down 48.0%. Chinese EV maker Nio did not register a single vehicle.
A Growing Partner Network
The October figures came a day before Lucid named a second German retail partner.
On Tuesday, the company said Cloppenburg Automobil SE would open a dedicated Lucid sales and service location in Duisburg in January 2027 and provide authorized service in Erlangen. Lucid said Cloppenburg would be its “primary retail partner for the Düsseldorf region.”
The dealer group joins Wackenhut, which Lucid announced as its first European retail partner in March and which began selling and servicing Lucid vehicles in Baden-Baden on March 30.
In October, Lucid named Autohaus Possögel in Naumburg as a service-only partner from December.
Lucid’s company-owned German studios are in Munich, Frankfurt, Düsseldorf and Hamburg.
Lawrence Hamilton, Lucid’s President of Europe, told Automobilwoche in 2025 that the company aimed to “be represented in 12 to 15 cities” in Germany at first and in 50 to 60 locations later.
Pricing
Lucid cut the Gravity’s entry price in Germany on August 19 to 94,900 euros ($106,800) and expanded the range to four trims.
Its German offers page on Tuesday listed 2027 model-year Gravity offers, with the Touring at 94,900 euros, the Grand Touring at 119,900 euros ($134,900) and the Grand Touring Ultimate at 147,500 euros ($166,000).
Leases started at 949 euros ($1,100) a month for the Touring, and financing was offered at an effective annual rate of 4.99%.
Lucid also launched certified used Air sales in Europe at the end of September, with the Gravity to follow. Used-car sales do not appear in the KBA’s new registration figures.
Elsewhere in Europe
Germany remains Lucid’s largest European market.
In October, Lucid registered seven vehicles in the Netherlands and one in Norway, bringing its total across the three markets to 50.
The company’s European registrations rose in September to their second-best month of 2026.
Lucid plans to open French orders and its first three locations with a local partner in the first quarter of 2027.
Globally, Lucid delivered 3,806 vehicles and produced 2,954 in the third quarter. It will report third-quarter financial results on November 9. The company does not publish its deliveries by country.
