Nio will unveil "a second smaller EV to be sold in Europe next year for less than $30,000," Reuters reported on Monday citing Nicolas Vincelot, Nio Group's general manager for France.

In a media roundtable held at the Beijing Auto Show, Nio founders William Li and Lihong Qin revealed some updates on the 150kWh battery, partnerships on battery swap technology, and the upcoming sub-brand Onvo.

With the Beijing Auto Show only one 10 days away, many EV manufacturers have been teasing — or even unveiling — its latest products and Nio is no exception. As reported exclusively by EV on April 9th, the brand will unveil the 2024 version of its flagship sedan at the upcoming Auto Show.

Chinese EV maker Nio is preparing to launch two sub-brands over the next 12 months which are seen as crucial for the company's long term success.
