XPeng Sees European Registrations Triple in June Ahead of L03 Launch

XPeng registered more than 4,645 vehicles across European markets in June, according to preliminary data compiled by EV from national registration authorities — accounting for roughly 61.7% of the month’s total sales outside China.

The figures have tripled from the 1,509 units recorded exactly a year ago, as tracked by EV then, and as the Guangzhou-based brand continues to expand further into the region, both market and model-wise.

As of Wednesday, June registrations had not yet been reported for six markets out of the 25 tracked — Slovakia, Hungary, Slovenia, Lithuania, Latvia, and Croatia — suggesting final continent-wide totals will likely climb once those figures come in.

XPeng is scheduled to host a brand and product launch event on Thursday in Munich, where the brand will debut its seventh model in Europe — considering the phased out model G3 in Norway back in 2021 and the first-generation P7.

The European lineup currently includes the G6 and G9 SUVs, the P7+ sedan and the X9 MPV, varying per location.

Starting from Thursday, XPeng will also offer the L03 SUV across seven European markets — part of the cheaper Mona series, which is a best-seller in China through the Mona M03 sedan.

The brand will also use the event to debut its ‘Iron’ humanoid robot in Europe.

According to The Wall Street Journal, the company expects to ramp up production to 1,000 robots per month by the end of the year, ahead of an international launch of the robot in 2027.

European Distribution

Germany led all markets at 922 units, a fourth consecutive monthly record and a 284% year-on-year increase.

France followed at 814 registrations, up 108%, while Norway recorded 770 units, a 123% gain.

Denmark posted 603 registrations, up 230% year-on-year.

The United Kingdom registered 245 vehicles, more than doubling from the same month last year, ahead of the X9 and L03’s expected arrivals on the market.

Several Southern European markets saw sharp acceleration. Spain registered 250 vehicles, up 297%, and Portugal recorded 226, up 214%. Italy posted 60 units, a 94% increase.

Newer markets contributed smaller but fast-growing volumes.

Poland registered 53 units, up 2,550% from a near-zero base, and Switzerland recorded 52, up 1,633%.

Austria posted 117 registrations and the Czech Republic 16, both in markets where XPeng had no meaningful presence a year ago.

Last year, however, the automaker began assembling vehicles in Graz, Austria, through a partnership with Magna Steyr.

Local Assembly

Local vehicle assembly is becoming an increasingly important pillar of the brand’s European strategy, allowing it to bypass EU tariffs on Chinese-build EVs.

Production in Graz began with the G6 and G9 SUVs, expanding to the P7+ earlier this year — for which deliveries began last month.

Recently, the company’s founder and CEO He Xiaopeng confirmed that a fourth model will begin assembly there “soon,” however he did not disclose which model it will be.

XPeng has debuted several models across Europe over the past months — spanning from the P7+ sedan to the X9 MPV.

Exports Record

The company delivered 40,126 vehicles in June, its strongest month of 2026, and is targeting 550,000 to 600,000 global deliveries for the full year.

XPeng reached a new overseas shipment monthly record in June for the third consecutive month, as the Guangzhou-based automaker continues to lean on international markets amid persistent domestic delivery declines across its lineup.

Exports represented 19.0% of total deliveries in the January-June period, up from 9.5% a year earlier — a sign of how rapidly the international business has gained weight within XPeng‘s overall sales mix.

The number of vehicles exported jumped above 7,000 units for the first time, reaching 7,533 in the month — a 99.3% year-on-year increase from the 3,779 units shipped in June 2025.

L03 Launch Stakes

The L03 is XPeng‘s first SUV under the Mona series and the first model the company will sell simultaneously in China and Europe.

Equipped with three Turing AI chips in its Ultra variant, the vehicle carries 2,250 TOPS of total computing power and runs the same vision-only architecture XPeng is taking global in 2027.

Pre-sales in China opened from 143,800 yuan ($21,200).

European pricing is expected to land above that figure but below the G6.

VLA in Europe

XPeng announced ahead of the event that its assisted-driving software will debut in Europe in early 2027.

Founder and CEO He Xiaopeng tied the European software push to the company’s robotaxi ambitions.

“We’re not stopping there. We look forward to working with European partners to bring XPeng Robotaxi fleet powered by the same foundation model to local markets,” he wrote. “Together, we’ll accelerate the future of autonomous mobility.”

The announcement came hours after the company’s head of autonomous driving confirmed that XPeng had been running the L03 SUV on public roads in Munich with VLA 2.0 engaged.

EV exclusively reported on Monday that a camouflaged L03 carrying VLA 2.0 test decals had been filmed driving through central Munich, with the rear section reading “XPeng L03 NGP powered by VLA 2.0.”
