XPeng registered 245 vehicles in the United Kingdom in June 2026, a 114.9% increase from the 114 units recorded in the same month last year.
The result brought the Chinese automaker’s first-half total to 767 units, a 364.9% surge compared with 165 registrations in the first six months of 2025.
June marked XPeng‘s second-strongest month in the UK this year, trailing only March’s 331-unit peak.
The brand has now logged more registrations in the first half of 2026 alone than it did across all of the first half and most of the third quarter of 2025 combined.
XPeng launched in the UK market in February 2025.
The UK remains a distinct proposition for XPeng within its broader European footprint.
As a right-hand-drive market, it has required dedicated engineering and production for each model sold domestically — a constraint that has limited the brand’s UK lineup to just one vehicle since its launch.
Continental European markets, by contrast, have access to a wider range of XPeng products built in left-hand-drive configuration.
Despite that single-model restriction, the G6 has established a consistent presence.
XPeng closed 2025 with 900 UK registrations across its first ten months on sale, anchored by a 281-unit September and twin 150-unit performances in October and December.
G6 SUV
The refreshed G6, which launched in the UK during the first quarter, brought more than 20,000 engineering updates across chassis tuning, steering calibration, battery management, and interior materials.
Pricing held steady at £39,990 for the Rear-Wheel Drive Standard Range, £44,990 for the Long Range, and £49,990 for the new Dual-Motor AWD Performance Black Edition — a variant introduced to the UK market for the first time this year.
XPeng also offers 0% APR representative financing on the G6 through Personal Contract Purchase and Hire Purchase agreements, alongside Business Contract Hire from £349 per month and Personal Contract Hire from £419 per month.
The rates designed to lower the entry barrier in a market where Tesla’s Model Y remains the segment benchmark.
However, the G6’s solo run in British showrooms is set to end in the coming months.
Expanding the UK Portfolio
XPeng confirmed in January that the X9, a seven-seat electric MPV built on the company’s 800V SEPA 2.0 architecture, would arrive in the UK by mid-year.
Positioned against the Volkswagen ID. Buzz, Kia EV9, and Hyundai Ioniq 9, the X9 will represent the brand’s entry into the family-oriented segment in the UK and expand its addressable market beyond the compact SUV category.
Further out, the Mona L03 compact SUV is approaching its global launch.
XPeng‘s Managing Director for the UK and Europe, Elvis Cheng, confirmed in May that the Mona series would debut in Europe starting in July with the L03, followed by a new premium SUV in October.
Pre-sales for the L03 opened in China on July 2 at prices starting from 143,800 yuan ($21,100).
XPeng will hold the model’s global launch event in Munich on July 16.
The compact crossover, designed by a team led by former Ferrari exterior designer JuanMa Lopez, measures 4,650mm long and sits below the G6 in XPeng’s hierarchy.
The addition of both models would give XPeng three distinct nameplates in the UK, covering a range from mass-market compact SUV through mid-size coupe crossover to full-size seven-seat MPV — a lineup broad enough to compete with multi-model Chinese rivals such as BYD, which already sells several vehicles across UK segments.
Absent From Goodwood
XPeng will not exhibit at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed, which runs from July 9 to 12 in West Sussex.
The absence is notable given that the brand used the 2025 edition of the event to stage the first dynamic drives of its refreshed G6 and to showcase the P7+ sedan — drawing significant attention during its debut year in the UK market.
The P7+ sedan, which has since then launched across several European markets, has not been included in the UK lineup.
Chinese EV brands will still have a visible presence at the 2026 Festival of Speed.
BYD is bringing what Goodwood has described as its largest stand in the event’s history, alongside launches from its premium Denza brand and the Yangwang U9 Xtreme electric hypercar.
Chery sub-brand Lepas will also debut its L8 plug-in hybrid SUV.
Retail Network Growth
XPeng‘s UK distribution is handled by International Motors Ltd, the Solihull-based importer that also works with Subaru, Isuzu, and GWM.
As of early 2026, the brand operated 19 sales outlets and 45 combined service and parts locations across the country, according to Fleet News.
The fleet and business channel represents a key growth vector.
Fleets account for roughly 70% of new battery electric car registrations in the UK, and XPeng has been working with funders and end-user fleets to build its presence in the salary sacrifice sector.
The brand participated in the Company Car in Action fleet test-driving event at UTAC Millbrook in June, putting the G6 in front of fleet decision-makers alongside 44 other manufacturer brands.
