Lucid to Open New San Diego Studio and Service Center on November 8

Lucid Motors said Monday it will open a new Studio and Service Center in San Diego on November 8, expanding its retail and service footprint in California to 15 locations.

The announcement comes two days after the California-based luxury EV maker inaugurated a 92,500-square-foot combined Studio and Service facility in San José.

The event was attended by several Lucid executives, including the interim Chief Executive Officer Marc Winterhoff, but also by San José Mayor Matt Mahan.

Lucid’s California network now spans from Sacramento and the Bay Area to Los Angeles and San Diego, with existing sites in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, Newport Beach, Costa Mesa, and Torrance, among others.

The company operates 64 Studios and Service Centers globally, Lucid said in a statement.

The network expansion in California and across the US comes as the EV maker faces increasing pressure to ramp up production capacity at its Arizona plant to fullfill the target of manufacturing at least 18,000 units this year.

Late next year, the company is planned to launch its third model based on a new mid-size platform which will underpin a total of three models.

Late 2026 is also the projected timeline for completing Lucid’s assembly plant in Saudi Arabia, which is being upgraded into a facility capable of full-scale EV production.

A year ago, the automaker published photos of its flagship Air sedan being tested by the California Highway Patrol.

Through the end of October, Lucid is offering a $2,000 loyalty bonus on eligible purchases or leases of 2026 model-year Air sedans, excluding demo vehicles and the top-trim Air Sapphire.

A separate $2,000 “Conquest Offer” applies to customers currently owning or leasing vehicles from rival brands such as Tesla, Rivian, or others.

The offer is valid for purchases or leases of new 2025 or 2026 Lucid Air vehicles available on-site at the time of order, excluding Sapphire and demo units.
