Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun said Tuesday that the company delivered 135,000 electric vehicles in 2024 while revealing that 300,000 is the sales goal for the Chinese tech giant next year.
Earlier this Tuesday, and to celebrate its 15th anniversary, Xiaomi launched a new color named ‘Brilliant Magenta’ for its SU7 sedan.
After launching its debut model in March, Xiaomi unveiled earlier in December its second model, a five-seater SUV which will be named YU7. The official launch will take place in June or July 2025.

In November, the tech giant delivered over 20,000 electric vehicles in November, eight months after starting mass-producing its first model, the SU7. Led by Lei Jun, the company aims to reach 130,000 deliveries this year after having increased its annual target first from 100,000 to 120,000 units and then further to 130,000.
The company is expected to complete the expansion of its EV manufacturing plant by mid-2025. Xiaomi plans to build its vehicle manufacturing plants in two phases, with each one of them targeting an annual production capacity of 150,000 vehicles. Construction of the second plant began last month and is expected to be completed in June 2025.
In October, Xiaomi officially launched the Ultra version of its SU7 sedan. The 814,900 yuan ($114,000) model was described as “a four-door sports car with genuine racing DNA.”
In October, shortly after the launch of its debut model, the company announced on Weibo that it received 3,680 orders within the first ten minutes of the launch, representing a potential revenue of $419.5 million.
