A Rivian commercial van wrapped in Walmart+ branding was spotted on a car hauler on Tuesday, the latest in a string of sightings of the vans in other companies’ colors that neither Rivian nor the brands involved have confirmed.
The blue van carried the Walmart+ logo and the slogan “Same day. Right to your door.” on its rear doors, according to a photo posted on Reddit’s r/RIVNstock forum by user ‘biggie_ballzzz’.
The poster said in a comment that the van was seen in Indiana, heading toward Chicago.
Walmart has never been named as a Rivian customer, and neither company has commented publicly on the sighting as of Tuesday afternoon. It is not clear whether the van was a pilot or a demonstration unit.

The retailer has backed two other electric delivery vans that have since disappeared.
It reserved 5,000 of General Motors‘ BrightDrop vans in January 2022, and GM ended BrightDrop production at its Ingersoll, Ontario, plant on October 21, 2025, citing market demand. Walmart also agreed in July 2022 to buy 4,500 vehicles from Canoo, which filed for bankruptcy in January 2025.
A van built for Amazon
Amazon remains the only large-scale buyer Rivian has disclosed. It ordered 100,000 vans in 2019, and Rivian said in July that Amazon had more than 40,000 of them on the road. Amazon’s exclusivity ended in late 2023, and Rivian opened orders to any US fleet in February 2025.
Rivian sold an estimated 8,469 vans in the US in the third quarter, a record, according to Cox Automotive, which does not break out buyers. That was up 221% from a year earlier and 112% from the second quarter, when sales rose 48% to 4,003.
Sales through the first nine months of 2026 reached about 15,700, already above the roughly 13,400 Rivian sold in all of 2024, by Cox’s estimates. They had fallen 27% to about 9,800 in 2025.
Most of that volume is Amazon’s. The retailer accounted for 52% of Rivian’s automotive revenue in the first quarter, up from 11%, and had more than 50,000 electric vans in June, more than half of them from Rivian.
The van itself is getting more capable. Rivian won EPA approval this month for all-wheel-drive versions with a 129-kilowatt-hour battery, and its Delivery 500 earned one of only two ‘Good’ ratings in the IIHS’s first pedestrian test of commercial vehicles.
Rivian does not publish a customer list, so most non-Amazon names have surfaced through photos rather than announcements.
Confirmed by Rivian
Four other brands have Rivian’s own confirmation.
AT&T was the first. The carrier said in December 2023 it would buy the “Rivian Commercial Van and R1 vehicles” for its fleet under a pilot program, with vehicles arriving from early 2024. Neither company gave a number, and EV could not find published photos of an AT&T-branded Rivian van.
HelloFresh became the first publicly named fleet customer in April 2025, when Rivian said it had delivered 70 vans to the meal-kit company. A van wrapped for Factor, HelloFresh’s prepared-meal brand, had already been spotted in Salt Lake City in January 2025, shared on X by Isaiah Louis.
Neither company has disclosed further orders.
Ben & Jerry’s received two electric “scoop trucks” built on the van, which Rivian developed with the ice cream brand and debuted at SXSW in March 2025.
Rivian also converted one of its vans into an ambulance for ABC’s “Grey’s Anatomy,” which first appeared on screen in November 2025.
Confirmed by the buyer
Three smaller buyers have confirmed their vans themselves, though Rivian has not announced them.
Wm. Masters, a family-owned electrical, plumbing and HVAC contractor in Bloomington, Illinois, said on Facebook in August 2025 that it was the first customer to buy a Rivian fleet van from the Normal factory. A Wm. Masters-branded van was photographed in February.
Xcelerate Auto, a Texas EV finance company, said in a video on X in June that it had taken delivery of one van, which it described as the first non-Amazon example in Dallas.
Slice, a pizza-ordering platform, is a partial case. Chief Executive Officer Ilir Sela shared an image of a Slice-branded van on LinkedIn in November 2025, writing: “We hope these beauties will serve family owned pizza shops in every neighborhood nationwide.” Neither company has disclosed an order or a number of vans.
Confirmed by a third party
A green van wrapped for home-electrification startup Jetson was photographed in July. Neither Jetson nor Rivian has announced a purchase, but upfitter Legend Fleet Solutions published a case study describing the build, which it said was completed by Bush Specialty Vehicles, one of Rivian’s preferred upfit partners.
A van in the colors of ALSO, the micromobility company Rivian spun off, was spotted in California in October 2025. ALSO is an affiliate of the EV maker rather than an outside customer.
Never confirmed
Three brands have appeared on Rivian vans without any confirmation from either side.
DHL is the longest-running case. Vans in DHL’s red and yellow were seen being transported, parked at the Normal plant and, in June 2024, in active use.
Chief Financial Officer Claire McDonough said at the time that Rivian was talking to “a number of large B2B enterprise players,” without naming DHL.
DHL Express US announced in October 2025 that it would deploy its first 45 Mercedes-Benz eSprinter vans in the country, calling them the longest-range battery-electric vehicles in its US fleet. The release did not mention Rivian.
Cintas, the uniform and safety supplier, appeared on a van in a video posted to YouTube by user viplav76 in October 2025.
The van carried “First Aid & Safety” branding. Cintas, which runs one of the largest corporate fleets in North America, has not said whether it bought or tested the vans. Walmart is now the third.
