Nio’s Onvo Brand Registers 900 Units for Two Consecutive Weeks in China

Nio’s sub-brand Onvo registered 900 units of its L60 model between October 14 and 20, according to data released on Tuesday by industry analyst ThinkerCar.

This marks the second consecutive week with 900 units recorded, bringing the total to 1,800 units between October 7 and 20, as the company aims to reach its October production target of 5,000 units.

Data for the first six days of the month remains unavailable, making it difficult to estimate the total number of vehicles registered by Onvo in October so far.

However, it is known that China’s Golden Week holiday took place in early October impacting vehicle sales across several automakers, with a recovery seen in the latter half of the month.

For example, Tesla registered 1,800 vehicles during the holiday week, but saw registrations rebound to 13,200 units between October 14 and 20.

Onvo began nationwide deliveries on September 28, delivering 832 units in the last days three of the month.

The long-range variant of the L60, equipped with an 85 kWh battery, is scheduled for delivery in December.

In a recent research note, Deutsche Bank analyst Wang Bin stated that Onvo has received over 30,000 non-cancelable orders since its launch, though official data on confirmed orders has not been disclosed.

Onvo has recently mentioned that production capacity had improved due to collaboration with key partners, enabling the company to meet demand more effectively.

“The estimated delivery times we’ve provided are likely final, though early deliveries cannot be ruled out,” the company said.

Nio Group expects Onvo to produce 5,000 units in October, 10,000 by December, and 20,000 by March 2025.

The L60’s standard-range model, featuring a 60 kWh battery, is priced at 206,900 yuan ($29,050), while the long-range 85 kWh variant starts at 235,900 yuan ($33,120).

Nio’s second sub-brand, Firefly, will be unveiled on December 21 at the company’s annual event.

This year’s edition will be held in Guangzhou and the brand will arrive in the European markets in 2025 despite the tariffs by the European Commission, as Automotive News Europe reported on Monday.
