The Swedish EV maker Polestar opened on Friday its new Destination Center in Vallensbæk, (Denmark) offering two delivery points and also a workplace for eight employees and Polestar specialists.

In the second quarter of the year, Polestar sold a total of 524 Polestar 2 units in the Nordic country being the second best selling model — only behind Skoda Enyaq with 731 units.

Henrik Bang, Manager of Polestar in Denmark, enhanced the “overwhelming and ever-increasing” enthusiasm received from the Danish customers. The area of Vallensbæk is a seaside western suburb of the Danish capital Copenhagen.

“Polestar is on a roll in Denmark. We are experiencing an overwhelming and ever-increasing interest from Danes, both in terms of purchases, test drives and general knowledge about Polestar cars,” Bang said.

“We are proud of our continued momentum, and the great Destination in Vallensbæk, which with its unique Polestar universe supports our digital business legs and makes it easy for customers to experience our cars,” he added.

In late May, the company opened a new Space in central Copenhagen located at Kristen Bernikov Gade and was inaugurated by Swedish Ambassador Charlotte Wrangberg.

In the country, Polestar 2 has a starting price of 365.000 Danish Krones in the Standard-Range Single-Motor version with an estimated range of 440-474kms. When opting for the Long-Range Single-Motor version the price increases by 25,000kr and by 50,000kr for the Dual-Motor version.

At the center, Polestar employees will be ready to give customers an “introduction to the cars and their innovative qualities, as well as handing out cars, helping with test drives and answering questions about electric car driving”, the company said

Erik Rasmussen, CEO of Via Biler, with whom Polestar has been working since spring, said: “Polestar is literally rounding a sharp corner today with the opening of Polestar Destination in Vallensbæk. I am very proud of the cooperation with Polestar and all of us in Vallensbæk are looking forward to presenting the brand and the cars to the customers.”

Chief Constable of the British Transport Police Lucy D’Orsi announced on the first day of July the arrival of their first all-electric car out on patrol, a Tesla Model 3. After adding two KIA EV6 vehicles earlier this month, the British Transport Police added now two Polestar 2 to its electric fleet.

On Tuesday, Polestar announced the opening of its UK commercial headquarters and a new Test Drive Hub in December 2022 at Bicester Heritage, 65miles away from London.

“Polestar Bicester will be a new multi-purpose location following the development of one of the existing two-story buildings in the Heritage Quarters,” the company said.

Earlier this week, Polestar said it will bring the electric Roadster concept into production with the market launch scheduled for 2026.

By then, Polestar posted five pictures jointly with its Design Community account– which is curated by the company’s Interior Design Manager JP Bernal — to promote the official announcement of the Polestar 6 production.

In the first four images, there’s nothing else to catch the user’s attention than the hard-top convertible revealed in Los Angeles last March, but that changes in the fifth picture where we can see a covered car right next to the upcoming Polestar 6.

The image is purposely darkened in order not to reveal many details of the lines of what will be the Polestar 7, however, it is possible to see that the company will stick to the sharp lines on the sports model.

Polestar has now a new President for the Chinese Market. Feng Dan, that previously worked for SAIC-GM for eight years, started on Monday its role in leading Polestar China.

During his time at SAIC-GM, Feng served as the national sales director and head of the business unit of the Cadillac brand increasing sales in China up to 230,000 in 2021.
