As it prepares to begin nationwide deliveries of its debut model on Saturday, September 28, Nio’s sub-brand Onvo has shipped Friday a significant batch of vehicles to its delivery centers across China.
The model is manufactured at Nio’s second factory in NeoPark, located in Hefei, a city nearly 300 miles from Shanghai, where the William Li-led brand is headquartered.
“The Onvo L60 will begin nationwide delivery on September 28,” Nio’s Senior Vice President and Onvo President Alan Ai wrote on Friday in the brand’s official app.

“We express our sincere thanks to everyone for being with us throughout this journey. With excitement, we are ready to embark on this new chapter and look forward to meeting you on schedule,” he added.
In his latest research note, Deutsche Bank analyst Wang Bin affirmed that Nio’s sub-brand has “received more than 30,000 non-cancelable orders.”
Earlier this week, and despite not unveiling the number of orders received, the brand said they “have exceeded expectations, and efforts are being made to meet customer demand.”
Twenty hours after the Onvo, Zeekr officially launched a Tesla Model Y and Onvo L60 competitor, the family-oriented SUV Zeekr 7X. Twenty days after its debut at the Chengdu Motor Show, the model had secured over 58,000 orders, according to the manufacturer.
Deliveries of Zeekr’s new model will also start over the next few days with the company saying that the launch in global markets will take place “within a year.”
According to Nio management, December deliveries of the L60 will reach 10,000 units before jumping to 16,000 in January next year. Two months later, in March 2025, the production ramp up will allow Onvo to deliver 20,000 units.
The standard range 60 kWh model is priced at 206,900 yuan, while the long-range 85 kWh version comes in at 235,900 yuan.
