From June 23 to 26, Lucid Motors sent its 1050 hp Lucid Air Grand Touring Performance to the Goodwood Festival of Speed and, partnering with the driver Ben Collins, won the fastest production vehicle with a 50.6 seconds lap. Here’s the full video of the performance:
Ben Collins, also known as Stig, is a driver that won races across a diverse arena of Motorsport from the Le Mans Series to GT and Nascar and has recently worked on numerous Hollywood blockbusters including three James Bond movies.

On April 12, Lucid Motors introduced the Lucid Air Grand Touring Performance which delivers 1,050 horsepower and accelerates from 0-60 mph in 2.6 seconds. The model has an MSRP of $179,000 and customer deliveries in the U.S. are slated to begin in June 2022. In Canada, the Air Grand Touring Performance will be priced at $242,000 CAD (before taxes), with deliveries beginning in August 2022, the EV maker stated.

“Lucid Air Grand Touring Performance answers the strong demand we continue to see for higher-performance versions of the Lucid Air,” said the CEO Peter Rawlinson at the time. “The remarkable speed with which we are able to conceive and bring this model to market is possible only because of Lucid’s high degree of vertical integration and in-house production of our proprietary EV powertrain and battery pack technology.”
One week after announcing the opening of the 27th studio and service center in North America located in Denver, Lucid Motors unveiled last Friday the opening of its 28th studio and service center will be located at University Village in Seattle (WA) with the inauguration scheduled for Saturday, June 25.
Recently, the company confirmed the entry into a Credit Agreement with an initial committed amount of up to $1.0 billion maturing on June 9, 2027, five years from now. Lucid’s CFO Sherry House said the credit will permit the electric vehicle maker to scale its business.
According to an image leaked in early June, Lucid Motors is getting ready to open a new showroom in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia’s capital and main financial hub. The company has currently 19 studios in the U.S., 2 in Canada (Vancouver and Toronto, and one in Germany (Munich).
