XPeng Launches Second Gen G6 and G9 SUVs in France

Chinese automaker XPeng has announced that the refreshed G6 and G9 models are arriving in France over the weekend, three months after it opened orders for the two SUVs in Europe.

The Guangzhou-based brand officially entered the French market in June 2024, with a mixed business model.

The company opened its first flagship store in Paris, where founder and CEO He Xiaopeng delivered a G9 to the first XPeng customer in the French capital.

The brand’s lineup in the country includes its G6 and G9 SUVs, with the P7 sedan and the Mona M03 model set to arrive in the European markets in 2026.

“October 10th, 11th and 12th, XPeng opens its doors to you,” the company wrote on LinkedIn, adding that the two models would be available in French dealerships from Friday on.

According to XPeng‘s sales advisor Mattéo De Zordi, the company held a presentation event in the French municipality of Montpellier on Thursday.

“Thank you to all the guests, clients, and partners for their interest and engaging discussions around these exceptional vehicles,” De Zordi wrote on LinkedIn.

XPeng introduced the refreshed version of the models in Europe in mid-July, with deliveries expected to start “at the end of the summer.”

The new G6 is priced from €46,990 ($54,750), while the more expensive G9 starts at €59,990 ($69,900).

According to the French Automobile Manufacturers Committee (CCFA), XPeng registered 183 vehicles in the country in September.

From January 1 to September 30, the brand delivered 2,119 vehicles in the country.

XPeng delivered its 2,000th cumulative car in the French market in July.

In the beginning of the year, marketing director Thomas Rodier told local media outlet Automobile Propre that the company aims to sell 3,500 vehicles in the country in 2025, while doubling dealerships from 30 to 60—70 locations.

XPeng recently entered its 50th and 51st global markets, as it entered Latvia and Lithuania.

Earlier this year, He Xiaopeng announced that the company aims to double its presence to 60 markets and 300 service points worldwide in 2025.

The company is also expanding its European lineup next year, including the best-selling Mona series and the P7+ sedan â€” which it describes as the world’s first AI-defined vehicle.

XPeng achieved record sales in both the UK and Germany last month, with each market surpassing 200 units sold.

The brand delivered over 40,000 vehicles in September across the globe, marking a new record in sales since its inception 11 years ago.
