XPeng registered more than 4,619 vehicles across its European markets in August, according to preliminary data compiled by EV from national registration authorities — more than four times the 1,075 units recorded a year ago.
Last month represented a 5.3% registration increase from the 4,385 units recorded in July, and came in just below June’s 4,645, which remains the strongest month of 2026 so far.
Monthly volumes fluctuate with seasonal demand patterns and the cadence of shipments from China, though XPeng already assembles part of its European lineup at Magna Steyr’s plant in Graz, Austria — covering the G6, G9 and P7+, with a fourth model is scheduled to be added “soon.”
Registrations have now held above 4,300 for three consecutive months as the Guangzhou-based automaker continues expanding its European footprint through new models and markets.
As of Monday, August registrations had not yet been reported for several markets out of the 25 tracked — suggesting final continent-wide totals will likely climb once those figures come in.
The missing markets include Croatia, Slovenia, Slovakia, Lithuania, Latvia and Hungary.
Northern Countries
Norway remained XPeng’s second-largest European market in August at 795 registrations, a +249% year-on-year increase, despite the volume ease from July’s 843.
XPeng has registered 4,317 vehicles in Norway in the first eight months of 2026, up 94.6% year over year and close to the 4,466 sold in all of 2025.
Norway was the brand’s first overseas market to pass 10,000 cumulative deliveries, reaching that mark in May.
Denmark posted 521 registrations in August, up +922% from a year earlier, though down from 610 in July.
The Danish market became XPeng’s third overseas to pass 10,000 cumulative deliveries on August 21.
Fully electric cars accounted for 79.9% of Danish sales in the first half.
In Sweden, the brand registered 141 units, a 188% gain, while Iceland posted 60, up 216%.
Finland recorded 36 registrations, up +1,700% from a near-zero base a year earlier.
UK and Ireland
XPeng registered 174 vehicles in the United Kingdom in August, a +216% jump from a year ago, following 163 in July.
Year-to-date registrations through August reached about 1,100 units.
During the month, XPeng announced it was establishing a National Sales Company in the UK, taking strategic and commercial control of the brand from distributor International Motors less than 18 months after entering the market.
XPeng is preparing to expand its UK lineup with the arrival of the L03 SUV and X9 MPV.
The brand recorded 53 electric vehicles in Ireland last month, a fourfold increase from a year ago, despite being down sharply from 148 in July.
Central Europe
Germany led all markets for a fifth consecutive month at 1,163 registrations, a +311% year-on-year increase.
August was the second month above 1,000 after July’s record of 1,253.
Germany has become XPeng’s largest international market by a clear margin, with 5,773 registrations in the first eight months of 2026 — a jump of 258% from 1,614 a year earlier.
XPeng passed 9,000 cumulative deliveries in the country during August and is on course to become the fourth market past 10,000 before year-end.
France followed at 546 registrations, up 269%. XPeng passed 6,000 cumulative deliveries in France on August 18 and has more than 70 stores in the country.
Belgium and Luxembourg combined for 258 registrations, a +231% increase and up from 182 in July.
Austria posted 146, with no year-ago comparison available — XPeng had no meaningful presence in the market a year earlier.
Local assembly at Magna Steyr’s plant in Graz, which began with the G6 and G9 SUVs, now also covers the P7+ sedan.
Netherlands registered 138 vehicles, up +165%, broadly flat from 142 in July.
Switzerland posted 47 EVs — a staggering 840% jump from a low base and down five units from 52 in July.
Southern and Eastern Europe
Both Portugal and Spain saw registrations jump considerably in August.
Spain recorded 217 registrations, a +520% surge, while Portugal registered 201 cars, up +142%.
Italy registered 32 vehicles in August, down from 61 in July. No year-ago comparison was available.
Czech Republic added 26 units, also without a year-ago figure, down from 29 in July.
Not all markets in the region had reported August figures as of Monday.
Countries including Slovakia, Hungary, and Slovenia had not yet filed data, meaning the final southern and eastern European totals will likely be higher.
Exports
XPeng shipped 8,125 vehicles and kits overseas in August, up 169.2% from a year earlier but down from July’s record of 9,700.
Germany was the company’s largest international market during the month.
Exports have now reached about 49,400 in the first eight months of 2026, already surpassing the 45,008 units shipped in all of 2025.
Meanwhile, CPCA data showed the Mona L03 compact SUV became XPeng’s best-selling model in August — its first full month of deliveries — with 9,668 registrations globally, including 1,244 exports.
XPeng debuted the L03 at a launch event in Munich on July 16 and is selling the SUV across 65 countries.
European pricing starts from €35,600 in Germany.
XPeng delivered 39,107 vehicles globally in August, a 3.7% rise from a year earlier.
Cumulative deliveries through August stand at 243,111, representing 44.2% of the company’s annual target of 550,000 to 600,000 units.
