Tesla chief executive Elon Musk emailed Executives on Monday evening warning that the company needs “need to be absolutely hard core about headcount and cost reduction” as layoff continues.

“Starting at 10 AM EST Tuesday, I will ask for the resignation of any executive who retains more than three people who don’t obviously pass the excellent, necessary, and trustworthy test,” Musk wrote according to The Information.

Rebecca Tinucci, Sr Director of charging at Tesla, and Daniel Ho, Director of Vehicle Programs and New Product Introduction (NPI), are both leaving Tesla this week, according to the publication. Daniel joined Tesla in November 2013 as Model S Program Manager.

Tinucci joined 6 years ago and all the 500 people reporting to her will also be laid off, as well as the entire public policy team previously under Rohan Patel.

Drew Baglino, Tesla‘s Senior VP for Powertrain and Energy Engineering resigned from Tesla earlier this month and the VP for Public Policy and Business Development Rohan Patel has also left the company.

The world’s largest EV maker issued an email earlier this month to all employees announcing a >10% reduction in its global staff representing more than 14,000 employees.

“About every 5 years, we need to reorganize and streamline the company for the next phase of growth.” These were the initial remarks made by Tesla‘s CEO following the announcement of the departure of two vice presidents and a workforce reduction of over 10 percent.

In an internal email, Tesla’s CEO Elon Musk emphasized that “it is extremely important to look at every aspect of the company for cost reductions and increasing productivity”.

Baglino joined Tesla in March 2006 and was part of a small group that completely re-architected the control electronics and firmware of the Tesla Roadster power electronics module. He led firmware development for motor, traction, and driveline control for the Roadster.

Tesla had recently announced the departure of 300 temporary workers in Germany, consistent with their contract terms, as part of the company’s ongoing efforts to streamline its global workforce.
