Onvo’s Refreshed L60 SUV Leaked: What’s New

Onvo’s L60 SUV, the debut model from Nio’s family-oriented sub-brand, is preparing for its first facelift as leaked photos out of China on Thursday revealed several design and feature changes.

Fei Shen, head of the Onvo brand, confirmed in late August that a facelift was under development and would be announced “very soon.”

Nio is holding its annual event this Saturday (Sept. 20) in Hangzhou, China. However, it is not confirmed whether the EV maker will debut the refreshed L60 at the event.

The images mark the clearest look yet at the 2026 model year version of the five-seat SUV, which launched in May 2024 with deliveries beginning in China in September.

A fold-out tray table is now mounted on the back of the front seats, supported by a new metal rail across the seatback — a feature absent in the current model.

The center console has been redesigned, with a deeper, longer phone slot and a redesigned storage tray replacing the simpler open layout. Dashboard trim has shifted to a lighter wood grain finish.

Beyond the cabin, Chinese outlet ‘IT之家’ reported last week that the facelift will bring functional upgrades such as dual wireless charging pads for the front row — up from a single pad positioned on the driver’s side — and ventilated rear seats.

A new gold exterior paint option will also be offered, and the SUV will ride on updated wheels, though its overall shape remains unchanged.

Efficiency has been slightly improved, according to the local media outlet.

Energy consumption for the rear-wheel drive version is now rated at 11.9 kWh per 100 kilometers, while the all-wheel drive variant drops to 12.4 kWh/100 km, according to local reports.

Built on Nio’s 900V high-voltage platform, the mid-size SUV features a drag coefficient of 0.229 — which the company says is the lowest of any production SUV — and CLTC efficiency of 92.3%.

The model is offered in two versions: a standard 60 kWh edition with 555 km of range priced from 206,900 yuan ($29,000) and a long-range 85 kWh edition with 730 km of range priced from 235,900 yuan ($33,100).

Executives said orders of the brand’s first model in August rose 30% month-on-month to a record high, helped by increased showroom traffic from the pre-launch of the brand’s second model, the three-row L90 SUV in early July.

As reported on Tuesday, Onvo registered 2,620 vehicles in China between September 8 and 14, insurance registration data shared by several automotive bloggers showed.

After having reached an all time record with 4,100 vehicles sold in August, Onvo‘s sales declined to about 3,700 units in the last week of August and further to 2,650 vehicles in the first week of September.
