Onvo, the family-focused sub-brand of Chinese EV maker Nio, said the seven-seater version of its L90 SUV will arrive more than 60 cities nationwide for static displays starting August 29.
“Welcome to experience with your whole family — everyone can enjoy the pleasure of riding in this revolutionary new high-end three-row SUV for families,” the company wrote in its app.
The L90, launched in July, is offered in both six- and seven-seat configurations, with pricing starting at 265,800 yuan ($37,200) or 179,800 yuan ($25,100) under Nio’s battery subscription program, known as Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS).
Deliveries of the six-seater version began on August 1 across more than 40 Chinese cities.
The six-seat variant is on track to surpass 10,000 units in August, according to the latest weekly insurance registration data shared on Chinese social media on Tuesday.
The seven-seater version introduces an easy-entry function in the second row, allowing one-touch fold and glide to create an opening of up to 670 millimeters, designed to simplify access to the third row and facilitate child-seat handling — according to Nio.
With the rear seats folded flat, the cabin can be converted into an oversized bed when paired with a mattress.
Onvo said the seven-seat L90 will be available in three trims, the Pro priced at 271,800 yuan, the Max at 285,800 yuan and the Ultra at 299,800 yuan.
Under the BaaS program, customers can purchase the vehicle without the battery for 185,800 yuan, 199,800 yuan and 213,800 yuan respectively, and then rent the battery separately.
Buyers placing a production order before September 1 will receive a launch package valued at over 30,000 yuan.
The bundle includes 40% discounts on optional upgrades such as body colors, wheels and power side steps, five years of free use of Navigate on Autopilot (NOA), six pillows, and exclusive First Edition badging.
As reported earlier this Wednesday, Nio restructured its sub-brand Onvo in the first months of 2025, consolidating operations and merging several sales and management roles with the core Nio brand after a sluggish beginning to the year.
However, the brand restarted hiring in May and is currently in a hiring push for sales team leaders — Onvo’s chief said on Wednesday.
