Chinese automaker Li Auto announced on Thursday that delivered 51,000 new energy vehicles (NEVs) in July which represents a new record for the Beijing-headquartered company.
The result represents a growth of 49.4% year over year and brings year to date deliveries to 239,981 units.

After starting the year with lower than expected sales numbers, the automaker has now returned to over 50,000 plus monthly deliveries seven months later.

From the 51,000 vehicles delivered, Li Auto detailed that over 20,000 units were its smaller, entry-level plug-in hybrid SUV L6.
“Li L6 sustained its robust sales performance with monthly deliveries continually exceeding 20,000, and has become a blockbuster model in the RMB200,000 to RMB300,000 price range,” the company’s CEO Xiang Li said in a statement.

“With the rollout of OTA versions 6.0 and 6.1 in July, Li L series and Li MEGA have undergone major upgrades, achieving comprehensive enhancements in product strengths across autonomous driving, smart space, and smart electric features,” the chairman added.
As of Wednesday, the company had 487 retail stores across 146 cities in China and 411 servicing centers and authorized body and paint shops operating in 220 cities.
Charging wise, the company surpassed in July 700 super charging stations in operation equipped with a total of 3,260 chargers.
