The company added that it remains “on target to start production and deliveries” of its first model Fisker Ocean in November 2022.

Last week, the company announced the hiring of the former BMW executive Alpay Uguz as Senior Vice President of Global Manufacturing. Previously, Uguz as served BMW as the manager of SUV plant in Spartanburg (South Carolina) and will now help Fisker to reach its goal of producing one million vehicles annually in 2027.

In early June, Fisker announced that has surpassed 50,000 reservations for its first model Fisker Ocean. The production of the SUV will start in Graz (Austria) on November 17, with the base Sport trim priced at $37,499 before incentives. The Extreme trim level is priced at $68,999 and delivers an estimated range of over 350 miles, the company added.

Fisker CEO said Monday that the company’s first model Fisker OCEAN is the world’s most sustainable car based on the number of recycled & biodegradable materials used in its production but also considering the CO2-neutral factory.
