XPeng recorded 9,400 vehicle registrations in China from November 25 to December 1, data released on Tuesday by Beijing-based rival Li Auto showed. The EV maker increased registrations by 30.5% from the third week of November, led by its most affordable model, the Mona M03 sedan. Unveiled in August, the sedan contributed 4,460 units, a 50.2% week-on-week rise.

XPeng‘s founder and CEO Xiaopeng He said earlier this month that monthly production capacity for the Mona M03 model will reach 20,000 units by the Chinese New Year, which takes place between January 28 and February 4.

The P7+, the company’s new flagship sedan launched in October, recorded 2,480 registrations in its third week of mass production. The entry-level SUV G6 reached 1,260 units while the G9 accounted for 600 vehicles. XPeng registered also 370 units of its MPV model X9.

The EV maker delivered 30,895 vehicles in November, marking the first time it has surpassed the 30,000 threshold in its decade-long history and setting a record for the third consecutive month. Deliveries in November increased 29% from 23,917 units in October and surged 54% year-on-year.

XPeng plans to roll out updated versions of several existing models over the coming year.

XPeng started pre-sales for the P7+ at the 2024 Paris Motor Show in October with the pre-sale price set at 209,800 yuan ($28,800) and the official launch is scheduled for next week, November 7.

The brand said Sunday that delivered more than 7,000 units of its P7+ in the first 23 days of production.

The EV maker, which is working on its first hybrid model, has been expanding to the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region and is currently operating in the UAE, Israel, Egypt, Jordan, and Lebanon. In November, XPeng expanded to both Nepal and the UK market.
