XPeng Delivers 38,027 Vehicles in July, Passing 1.2 Million Lifetime

XPeng delivered 38,027 vehicles in July, a 3.6% increase from the 36,717 units handed over a year earlier, the Guangzhou-based company said on Saturday.

July marked a 5.2% decline from June’s 40,126 units, which remains the strongest month of 2026, and a second consecutive month of year-over-year growth after five straight months of decline earlier in the year.

Cumulative deliveries reached more than 1.2 million units worldwide as of July 31.

A model-level breakdown is not part of the monthly release.

The China Passenger Car Association is expected to publish its model-by-model figures next week, which will separate the Mona M03, the L03, the GX, the P7 series and the rest of the lineup.

Behind the Annual Target

Deliveries for the first seven months of 2026 total 204,004 vehicles, a 12.8% decline from the 233,906 units XPeng delivered over the same period of 2025.

The company is targeting 550,000 to 600,000 global deliveries for the full year, a range that would represent growth of 28% to 40% against 2025’s 429,445 units.

Measured against that target, the year-to-date total represents 37.1% of the lower bound and 34.0% of the upper bound.

Reaching the floor would require an average of 69,199 vehicles per month over the final five months of the year, with the company betting on its newly launched L03 coupe SUV to meet the target.

XPeng‘s best month on record remains well below, and July’s 38,027 units sit at roughly 55% of the pace the lower bound now demands.

Chinese automakers as a group arrived at the half-year mark trailing their annual goals, and the gap on XPeng‘s own target is among the widest in the sector.

Second-quarter deliveries of 103,295 units landed inside the 100,000-to-106,000 range the company had guided to, clearing the low end by 3,295 units and running about 0.3% above the year-earlier quarter.

The L03 Is a Partial Month

XPeng held its Brand Day and the L03 Global Launch Event in Munich on July 16, the first simultaneous global launch in the company’s history, staged in front of an audience of 1,500 guests.

The L03 went on sale across eight European markets from €34,990, pricing the company’s cheapest-ever SUV below its existing European lineup and into direct competition with affordable models from BYDMG and the Stellantis-backed Leapmotor.

The company said the model will launch in 65 countries and regions this year.

Founder and chief executive He Xiaopeng said at the launch that XPeng had delivered 61,065 vehicles cumulatively in Europe, operated across 65 markets worldwide and ran 1,207 stores.

That market count is a separate measure from export volume and the two should not be read against each other.

First customer deliveries of the L03 began late in the month, with mass deliveries pushed into August, which means July captures only a partial contribution from the model the second half depends on.

Deutsche Bank analysts expect the L03 to average about 12,500 sales a month once supply normalises, a level that would replicate the Mona M03’s role as the company’s volume anchor.

The Mona Problem the L03 Is Meant to Fix

The Mona M03 sedan delivered 175,689 units in 2025, or 40.91% of full-year volume, making it the single model on which XPeng‘s scale rested.

Cumulative M03 deliveries fell 27.63% year-on-year to 62,488 units in the first half of 2026, which is the clearest explanation for why the company spent seven months below its 2025 pace.

The GX, the premium SUV that began deliveries in late May, contributed 6,739 units in June and passed its 10,000th vehicle off the line during the month.

XPeng has also filed the larger Mona L05 mid-size SUV and a flagship G9L with China’s regulator, both planned for the second half.

Overseas Weight Keeps Rising

Exports accounted for 19.0% of deliveries across the first half, up from 9.5% a year earlier.

The monthly export figure cleared 7,000 units for the first time in June, reaching 7,533 vehicles, a 99.3% increase on the 3,779 units shipped in June 2025 and a third consecutive monthly record.

The company operates in 28 European countries and has guided that international revenue would exceed 20% of the total from the second quarter.

Earlier in July, XPeng unveiled its long-term strategy for Australia, including plans to launch five all-new models in the second half of 2026 and continue expanding its local sales and service network.

The company also said its NGP driver-assistance system, powered by the in-house VLA 2.0 model, will begin a global rollout in 2027.

Emissions Accounting

XPeng said its vehicles delivered from January to July 2026 are expected to reduce life-cycle greenhouse gas emissions by more than 3.23 million tons compared with internal combustion vehicles, equivalent to the carbon absorbed by 53.75 million young trees over ten years.

The comparable figure for the first half stood at more than 2.66 million tons, or 43.92 million trees.
