Polestar expands to Dubai opening the first Space in the country at Mall of Emirates

The Swedish Polestar opened its first showroom in Dubai located at Mall of Emirates, an iconic shopping center with a total of 560 luxurious boutiques. During the last weeks, the EV maker has been expanding at an high pace confirming the entrance to Portugal, Spain, Dubai and the upcoming Italy. Polestar is on pace to reach its target of 30 markets in aggregate by the end of 2023.

In the UAE, Polestar 2 model starts at Dh161,900 ($44,084) for the standard-range single motor version, featuring one electric motor with 231 horsepower and 330Nm of torque and a 69kWh battery pack providing up to 444 kilometres of electric range.

After announcing the launching in Portugal last week, Polestar confirmed the arrival to Spain earlier this week with the first test drives of the Polestar 2 model starting on Tuesday, May 24, in Madrid and on June 1 in Barcelona. The model starts at €46,190 and the first units are expected to arrive the country in October.

Last week, Polestar opened a new space in Copenhagen, the capital of the Scandinavian country Denmark. The new Space is located in Kristen Bernikov Gade and was inaugurated by the Swedish Ambassador Charlotte Wrangberg. The Polestar 2 model was the best-selling model in the country in April, with 210 vehicles achieving a 14.40 percent market share of the total 1,454 units sold in Denmark. In the first quarter of the year, the Volvo-backed EV manufacturer sold a total of 312 units showing how well the model has been accepted in the country.

Polestar and Gores Guggenheim announced on Wednesday evening that the registration statement on Form F-4 regarding the merger was declared effective by the SEC on May 25, 2022. The merger process will be concluded in the first half of the year, as previously announced.

The Company will hold a special meeting of stockholders to vote the business combination agreement on June 22 at 9:30 AM EST followed by a meeting of public warrant holders at 10:00 a.m. to approve an amendment to the existing warrant agreement.
