Less than 24 hours after sharing three short teaser videos on social media, the EV maker Lucid Motors confirmed on Tuesday that it will showcase a new concept vehicle based on its Gravity model at this year’s Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.
The concept will be shown publicly on the Concept Lawn during the 74th edition of the event on Sunday, August 17.
Lucid will also operate a booth at the Monterey Car Week from Thursday, August 14, through Sunday, August 17, between 9am and 6pm daily.
The teasers posted on the company’s X account included footage of a surface engraved with “Pebble Beach, CA” and GPS coordinates, a roof rack with integrated lights, and a black multi-spoke wheel with Lucid’s logo.
The imagery, set against dusty backdrops, suggested an off-road-oriented variant, though Lucid did not confirm whether the concept is intended for such use.
Below are the three short videos shared by Lucid on X.
“The wild is calling — a bold new concept of electric exploration arrives in Monterey on 8.14,” the company wrote on Monday.
In addition to displaying the Lucid Air sedan and the Gravity SUV, the company will offer demonstration drives.
The Air and — for the first time at Monterey Car Week — the Gravity will be available for test drives on Thursday from 10am to 6pm, and from 9am to 6pm on Friday and Saturday.
The unveiling comes as Lucid steps up marketing ahead of Gravity’s global ad campaign planned for early September and the launch in Europe.
Last month, the company named actor Timothée Chalamet as its first global brand ambassador, part of a strategy to partner with high-profile cultural and sporting figures.
Separately, the California-based carmaker has revised last Friday proxy materials for its planned one-for-ten reverse stock split, correcting an earlier disclosure to state that authorised shares will be reduced proportionally.
