XPeng Opens New 4.3 Million Square Foot Headquarters in China [Video]

Chinese carmaker XPeng officially inaugurated its new global headquarters in Guangzhou, a complex designed to function like a self-contained city for employees.

“Today marks the day when XPeng’s headquarters officially moves to its new site in Guangzhou,” He Xiaopeng wrote on Monday.

The new headquarters in Guangzhou spans nearly 400,000 square meters of space plus an 80,000-square-meter park.

Located in Tianhe Smart City’s Cencun area, the new XPeng campus spans more than 500,000 square meters, with a total floor area of about 364,500 square meters.

“Entrepreneurship often begins with moving — and every relocation represents a symbolic leap forward,” he added on the Weibo post.

“It’s warm, with a 20,000-square-meter cafeteria offering more than 400 kinds of meals. It also includes a ‘Mom’s Kitchen,’ coffee shops, a supermarket, a hospital, a hair salon, laundry, gym, and sports facilities,” He added.

Beyond its core headquarters functions — office, R&D, and exhibition facilities — the campus also integrates key automotive operations such as vehicle engineering, design review, and new model testing.

XPeng‘s new HQ building includes a dedicated takeoff and landing pad for its flying-car division and an independent flagship retail store.

The new campus functions as a ‘mini city,’ complete with an 80,000-square-meter park and a 20,000-square-meter mega canteen with 5,000 seats.

Additional amenities include cafés, supermarkets, a community medical center, as well as barbershops and gyms.

The company registered 1,598 vehicles across its European markets in September, marking a year-on-year surge of 71.6%, as the company doubled its presence on the continent.

Compared to August, September registrations have jumped 48.7%, from 1,075 vehicles.
