The Chinese electric vehicle maker XPeng announced on Sunday that delivered 9,002 Smart EVs in April 2022, representing a 75% increase year-over-year. According to the company, the February deliveries consisted of 3,714 P7 smart sports sedans, 3,564 P5 smart family sedans, as well as 1,724 G3i and G3 smart compact SUVs.

“The Company has been and is continuing to actively navigate through the COVID situation, which in turn is affecting the overall supply chain, manufacturing and transportation of automobiles in China. April deliveries reflect the Company’s relentless effort to mitigate the current conditions with support from various authorities and industry partners,” XPeng said.
XPeng upgraded the technology at the Zhaoqing plant during the Chinese New Year holiday from late January to early February enabling the company to accelerate delivery of its significant order backlog in hand.
The electric vehicle maker started last week holding press runs with the recently arrived XPeng P5 model in Sweden. The model has a starting price of 550,000 SEK ($55,800 USD), as announced by the company on March 21, and can be configured here. XPENG P5 will be available in Denmark, the Netherlands, Norway, and Sweden.
XPeng is participating in the eCar Expo in Stockholm from 29 April to 1 May, where it is showing its Flying Car XPeng X2 for the first time in Europe. XPeng Aeroht, the largest flying car company in Asia and also an affiliate of XPeng, is dedicated to producing the safest electric intelligent flying car for private use.
