Waymo, Alphabet's robotaxi service, brought its vehicles to Tokyo in 2025, its first international testing ground. Working with taxi operator Nihon Kotsu and ride-hailing app GO, it began by driving central Tokyo streets to adapt its technology to Japan's roads and traffic.
