According to the State Administration for Market Regulation, Tesla China is releasing an over-the-air (OTA) update on 107,293 Model 3/Y produced from October 2021 to April 2022, due to to the non-fully cooled-down CPU on fast charging.

Starting from May 23, Tesla China will use automotive remote upgrade (OTA) technology to upgrade vehicles within the recall range to 2022.12.3.3 or later software for free.

“For some vehicles within the scope of this recall, when preparing for DC fast charging or during DC fast charging, the central processing unit of the infotainment system may not be sufficiently cooled, causing the central processing unit to slow down and the central touch display screen to display slowly,” the State Administration for Market Regulation said.

Last week, Elon Musk commented Tesla’s ambition to produce 20 million vehicles by 2030, saying “It’s an aspiration, not a promise. I think we got a good chance of getting there”.

“There are some raw material restraints that we see coming in Lithium production in about 3 years. I do not see a fundamental scaling constraints,” he added.
