Polestar has raised the company-funded “EV Bonus” on its Canadian lineup to C$15,000 ($10,600) for November, a threefold increase on the Polestar 2 and Polestar 4 and a new incentive on the Polestar 3.
In the U.S., where the brand was banned from the 2027 model year, it keeps selling its last Polestar 3 and Polestar 4 stock with incentives of up to $25,000, according to the brand’s websites.
Neither market has a list-price cut. Canadian list prices are unchanged from October, and the larger Canadian bonus is tied to Polestar’s own lease and finance deals, with advertised monthly payments unchanged from October.
Polestar has instead raised the interest rates behind most of those payments, and on both Polestar 3 finance offers the higher cost of borrowing almost exactly cancels out the bonus.

The Polestar 2 Relaunch
The Polestar 2 returned to Canada on June 3 as a 2027 model-year car priced from C$69,900 ($49,600). That followed Ottawa’s cut of the tariff on China-built EVs to 6.1% for vehicles imported under its annual quota.
“With over 7,300 Polestar 2s on Canadian roads to date, we know there’s demand from our customers, so it’s with great joy we announce the return of Polestar 2 to Canada,” Head of Polestar Canada Hugues Bissonnette said at the relaunch.
The car is sold in one specification, the Long range Dual motor, with the Pilot, Plus and Climate packs standard. It had left the Canadian market in March 2025, when the 100% tariff on Chinese-built EVs stopped imports.
Production of the Polestar 2 has since ended in China after more than 200,000 cars, with an all-new successor due in early 2027. Polestar has not said whether new Canadian orders will be filled from existing stock.
Three Rounds of Canadian Offers
Polestar first cut Canadian prices by up to C$15,000 ($10,600) in September, combining cash discounts with a C$5,000 ($3,500) EV bonus. Those offers required delivery by September 30.
October’s offers, which ran to November 2, were smaller. Polestar’s archived Polestar 4 offers page showed a C$5,000 ($3,500) EV bonus on leases and financing and a separate C$10,000 ($7,100) offer for buyers paying cash or arranging their own loans.
The Polestar 3 page offered C$10,000 ($7,100) cash off the Dual motor and C$15,000 ($10,600) off the Performance, with no EV bonus, alongside 0% financing for up to 84 months.
The November offers, valid until November 30, replace those with one figure. “$15,000 EV Bonus included,” reads each lease and finance offer on Polestar’s Canadian offers pages for the Polestar 2, 3 and 4.
The separate cash offers no longer appear on those pages.
What the Configurator Shows
Polestar’s Canadian configurator, checked on Friday, displays reduced prices with the list price struck through. The Polestar 2 shows C$54,900 ($38,900) against C$69,900.
That is C$10,000 ($7,100) below the C$64,900 the configurator showed on October 26 and C$2,000 ($1,400) below September’s C$56,900.
The Polestar 4 coupe shows C$49,900 ($35,400) for the Rear motor and C$54,900 ($38,900) for the Dual motor, against list prices of C$64,900 and C$69,900. Those are the same figures as in September.
The Polestar 3 shows C$90,000 ($63,800) for the Dual motor and C$105,000 ($74,500) for the Performance, against C$105,000 and C$120,000. The Dual motor figure is C$5,000 ($3,500) below the C$95,000 ($67,400) it cost in October after that month’s C$10,000 cash offer.
Freight and PDI add C$2,800 ($2,000).
Same Payments, Higher Rates
The bigger bonus has not lowered the advertised payments. The Polestar 2 lease is still C$629 ($450) a month for 48 months with no down payment and a total obligation of C$30,192 ($21,400), identical to October.
What changed is the rate. The Polestar 2 lease rate rose to 0.7% from 0%, the Polestar 4 Dual motor Plus to 3.29% from 2.19%, and the Polestar 3 Dual motor to 6.64% from 0.9%. Their C$759 ($540) and C$1,299 ($920) monthly payments are unchanged, and the Polestar 3 lease still carries a total obligation of C$66,612 ($47,200).
The Polestar 2 figure for October comes from its configurator page, which still shows the October terms, a 0% rate, a C$5,000 bonus and delivery by November 2.
Financing shows the same pattern. In October the Polestar 3 Dual motor was offered at 0% over 84 months, at C$1,199 ($850) a month with C$7,180 ($5,100) down and no cost of borrowing.
The November offer charges 4.69% at the same C$1,199 a month and C$7,180 down. Its C$15,006 ($10,600) cost of borrowing is almost exactly offset by the C$15,000 bonus, leaving the total obligation at C$107,896 ($76,500), as in October.
The Polestar 3 Performance moved the same way, to 4.11% from 0% over 84 months, with a cost of borrowing of C$14,988 ($10,600), leaving its C$122,896 ($87,100) total obligation unchanged.
The Polestar 2 is now financed at 2.99% over 84 months, or C$699 ($500) a month with C$4,850 ($3,400) down. In September, Polestar had advertised 0% for up to 84 months on the car.
The Polestar 4 finance offer has not been updated. Its fine print still describes a C$5,000 EV bonus, a C$985 ($700) monthly payment and delivery by November 2, the October terms with every figure unchanged, even though the headline above it says C$15,000.
Owners can add a C$1,500 ($1,100) Loyalty Bonus.
U.S. Selling Down
In the U.S., the Commerce Department’s Bureau of Industry and Security declined in June to authorize Polestar under the Connected Vehicle Rule from the 2027 model year.
“We will continue to sell our existing inventory of vehicles in the United States while supplies last. However, no new vehicle will be available for sale as MY27 and subsequent,” Polestar says in its U.S. operations FAQ.
The remaining stock is split by model year. The Polestar 3 offers apply to 2025 model-year cars, and the Polestar 4 offers to 2026 model-year cars.
“Only a few remain,” Polestar’s U.S. homepage says of the Polestar 3. “This is your last chance to shop new Polestar 3s in the U.S.”
The U.S. Numbers
From November 3 to November 30, Polestar offers a $25,000 “Clean Vehicle Incentive” off the MSRP of a 2025 Polestar 3 whether it is leased, bought with cash or financed at a promotional 4.99% for up to 72 months.
The lease part is new. Polestar’s October offer carried a $20,000 lease incentive, supporting a $579 monthly payment on the Long range Dual motor, so the November lease credit is $5,000 larger. The $25,000 for cash and promotional financing has been advertised since at least September.
The U.S. configurator shows the Polestar 3 at $42,500 for the Long range Single motor, $48,400 for the Long range Dual motor and $54,400 with the Performance pack. List prices are $67,500, $73,400 and $79,400.
In July, Polestar cut each Polestar 3 by $23,000, so the current configurator prices are $2,000 lower.
The 2026 Polestar 4 carries $25,000 off for cash buyers or a $19,000 lease credit supporting $499 a month for 27 months with $1,500 down. Buyers financing through Polestar get $18,000 off with 0% for 60 months.
The configurator shows the Rear motor at $31,400 and the Dual motor at $37,900, against $56,400 and $62,900. A $1,700 bonus applies to in-stock Polestar 4 Dual motor Plus cars with Nappa leather. Owners can claim a loyalty bonus of $4,000 on the Polestar 3 or $1,000 on the Polestar 4, and Polestar 3 buyers switching from another EV or select gas or hybrid cars can add a $2,000 conquest bonus.
The sell-down has lifted volume. Polestar’s U.S. sales more than doubled to about 2,160 cars in the third quarter, about 15% of its estimated global retail sales of 14,371, based on company figures. Sales outside the U.S. fell 8%.
The Remaining Market
CEO Michael Lohscheller named Canada in June among markets where Polestar “will continue to invest,” in its statement on the U.S. decision.
Polestar’s Canadian lineup draws on three plants, the Polestar 2 from China under the quota, the Polestar 3 from South Carolina and the Polestar 4 coupe from Busan, South Korea.
The South Carolina-built Polestar 3 enters Canada subject to the 25% counter-tariff Ottawa applies to U.S.-built vehicles. Bissonnette has said the brand would absorb part of that cost rather than pass the full charge to consumers.
Polestar has postponed its third-quarter results, originally due November 5, and has not set a new date. Its shares fell as much as 24% in the first 90 minutes of trading on Thursday, the day it had been scheduled to report.
