XPeng recorded 10,100 vehicle registrations between December 23 and 29, marking the first time the electric vehicle manufacturer has exceeded the 10,000 threshold in a single week, according to insurance data.

Insurance registration data released by Li Auto on Tuesday showed a 36.5% increase in XPeng registrations compared to the 7,400 units recorded in the second week of December.

The Guangzhou-based company, which expanded to 30 markets globally in 2024, plans to increase its presence to 60 markets in 2025. XPeng reported last week that it had produced 50,000 units of its Mona M03 sedan within four months of the model’s mass production launch.

In November, XPeng delivered 30,895 vehicles, marking the first time the company surpassed 30,000 units in a month.

Last week, the company reached 10,000 deliveries in Europe, becoming the first Chinese EV startup to reach the milestone.

The company’s founder and CEO Xiaopeng He said earlier this month that the monthly production capacity for the model will reach 20,000 units by the Chinese New Year, which takes place between January 28 and February 4.

Since adopting a third-party dealership model, XPeng has accelerated its expansion, entering several new European markets this year, including France, Spain, and Portugal. Last month, the company signed an agreement to enter the UK market, where it plans to debut its entry-level SUV, the G6, with sales expected to begin early next year.
