On Monday, XPeng CEO He Xiaopeng and Brian GU Vice Chairman and President hosted a press conference at the Paris Auto Show reaffirming the brand’s commitment to Europe naming it the most important international market.

Later in the press conference, the CEO of the Guangzhou-headquartered brand announced the P7+, XPeng’s new flagship sedan, would have a pre-sale price of 209,800 yuan, equivalent to $29,600.

One hour and 48 minutes later, XPeng secured 30,000 pre-sale orders for the model. Deliveries are expected to start in November in China with other markets planned for next year.

The P7+ comes with an 800V high-voltage SiC platform from XPeng’s SUVs G9 and G6 and has an energy consumption of 11.6 kWh/100 km.

According to XPeng, the efficiency of the model “outclasses others in its segment”.

The P7+ features a three-meter wheelbase and is over 5 meters long and will be the brand’s first model based on its next-generation ADAS hardware platform.

By the end of next year, XPeng aims to double the number of markets where it operates to a total of 60.
