XPeng partners with the charging company Plugsurfing in Norway

The EV maker XPeng and the charging network company Plugsurfing announced Wednesday a partnership to provide Norwegian drivers access to over 300,000 charging stations in Europe.

“XPeng drivers in Norway will get Plugsurfing’s charging solution and a cobranded charge key, which gives them access to public charging across Europe through Plugsurfing’s network of 300,000 charge points,” Plugsurfing stated.

“It’s great to see XPENG join the club of international car brands that chose us for their European charging solution. We’re thrilled to have them as part of our alliance and to offer their drivers a world-class charging solution,” says Plugsurfing Chief Sales Officer Michael Warner.

“As a leading EV manufacturer, we want to continuously enhance every part of the customer journey, which includes offering services that complement our range of vehicles. We believe partnering with Plugsurfing will help strengthen our offering to drivers across Scandinavia,” says Xiaopeng He, CEO & Chairman of XPENG.

Plugsurfing also provides its charging solution to “NIO in Norway and has longstanding partnerships with many European car brands, such as Volvo, Polestar, Renault, and Jaguar Land Rover”, the company mentioned.

Earlier today, the EV maker unveiled the first images of the interior design for its upcoming SUV XPeng G9 alongside the opening of reservations in China for the model.

Recently, XPeng CEO He Xiaopeng wrote that he is “very confident in this flagship product” and that the G9 model will be the best SUV under RMB 500,000. The model will be officially launched in September 2022.

The company delivered 11,524 vehicles in July 2022, representing a 43% increase year-over-year and a 24.65% from the previous month. The company delivered a total of 80,507 vehicles in the first seven months of 2022, a 108% increase year-over-year.
