The EV maker XPeng unveiled Wednesday the first images of the interior design for its upcoming SUV XPeng G9 alongside the opening of reservations in China for the model.
Recently, XPeng CEO He Xiaopeng wrote that he is “very confident in this flagship product” and that the G9 model will be the best SUV under RMB 500,000. The model will be officially launched in September 2022.
The G9 model features three big screens and a 5d smart cockpit relying on self-developed hardware and software by the EV maker. XPeng’s CEO recently claimed the company “predicted the road conditions in advance, taking the initiative to adjust the suspension, and be thoughtful in driving”
The SUV has a battery life of over 700 kilometers and an 800V high-voltage overcharge platform. “We will gradually deploy an 800V/480kW overcharge network during the year. 5 minutes of charging, 200 kilometers of battery life,” the CEO He Xiaopeng recently said.
The company delivered 11,524 vehicles in July 2022, representing a 43% increase year-over-year and a 24.65% from the previous month. The company delivered a total of 80,507 vehicles in the first seven months of 2022, a 108% increase year-over-year.
July deliveries consisted of 6,397 P7s, 3,608 P5 smart family sedans and 1,519 G3i SUVs with the cumulative deliveries reaching nearly 220,000 as of the end of July 2022.
