Bentley introduced a First Edition of the Torcal on Thursday, its first fully electric model, bundling carbon fiber exterior parts, unique 22-inch wheels and a set of cabin features that the brand otherwise sells as individual options.
The Crewe-based brand, part of Volkswagen Group, did not disclose a price, a production cap or a delivery date for the version.
It described the First Edition as an “exclusive launch specification” but did not say whether its numbers will be limited.
The First Edition already appears in Bentley’s online configurator alongside the Torcal S and the core Torcal. There, the company says it combines “unique features” with “finishes and equipment that can normally only be commissioned as options.”

The configurator also states that EU CO2, electricity consumption and electric range data are “pending, subject to EU Type Approval.”
Exterior Details
The most visible additions are on the outside.
The First Edition gets unique 22-inch wheels in gloss black with Liquid Silver spokes and self-levelling Bentley badges. Brake calipers are finished in Graphene Grey by Mulliner, Bentley’s personalization division.
At the debut, Bentley said Torcal calipers would come in black, red or gray, with three more colors available through Mulliner. It did not name those Mulliner colors at the time. The Torcal S has red calipers as standard.
The Carbon Fibre Styling Specification adds carbon fiber front bumper winglets, mirror caps, side sills and a rear diffuser.
By comparison, the Torcal S distinguishes itself with black brightware and mirror caps, dark rear lamps, a rear diffuser, sports sills and front bumper strakes.
Cabin Specification
Inside, the First Edition has bespoke seat quilting with contrasting chevrons and illuminated First Edition treadplates.
Its Colour Specification adds further color splits, including two by Mulliner, eight accent colors and the option of a third interior color. Buyers can also choose a full leather interior and contrast stitching.
A Gloss Carbon Fibre technical finish is fitted as standard, with alternatives available at no extra cost. The Torcal S comes with piano black veneer as standard. Deep-pile overmats are also included.
The First Edition gets Wellness front seats. In the debut release, Bentley said the Wellness Seat Specification extends the massage function from the backrest into the seat cushion, so legs as well as back and shoulders can be massaged.
The Rear Comfort Seat Specification adds ventilation and comfort headrests for both outer rear-seat passengers.
Doors, Roof and Audio
Bentley said the First Edition “showcases two of Torcal’s distinctive new features,” both fitted as standard.
The first is powered front and rear doors. At the debut, Bentley said the four radar-controlled doors can open and close themselves.
Passengers can close theirs by fastening a seat belt or using the main touchscreen, while the driver can close the door by pressing the brake pedal.
The second is the Frosted Diamond Switchable Sunroof, a switchable-glass roof that Bentley said lets customers “tailor light and atmosphere” in the cabin.
The Naim for Bentley audio system is also standard. It has 1,780 W, 28 speakers, kinaesthetic seat transducers and front headrest speakers.
The First Edition release lists Dolby Atmos 7.1.4, while the debut release described the same Naim package with Dolby Atmos 7.1. The Torcal’s entry audio system has 620 W and 16 speakers.
Torcal S Powertrain Carried Over
The First Edition uses the 888 PS (653 kW) and 1,350 Nm output that Bentley revealed for the Torcal S at the model’s London debut on September 23. Bentley calls it “the highest power output available for the Torcal.”
Bentley quotes 0-60 mph in 2.8 seconds, 0-100 km/h in 2.9 seconds and a top speed of 162 mph (260 km/h), the same figures it gave for the Torcal S.
The core Torcal produces 821 PS and 1,194 Nm, reaching 60 mph in 3.3 seconds and topping out at 155 mph (250 km/h). That leaves the First Edition with 67 PS and 156 Nm more, increases of 8.2% and 13.1%.
Every Torcal uses two permanent magnet synchronous motors, one on each axle, and an 800V battery of 192 lithium-ion pouch cells with a net capacity of 113 kWh. Bentley quotes a range of up to 375 miles (600 km WLTP).
It has not published a separate range figure for the First Edition.
Pricing and Timing Still Unconfirmed
Bentley did not publish Torcal prices at the debut either.
Top Gear reported a starting price of £173,300 ($231,700) for the Torcal at the time, and £199,300 ($266,400) for the Torcal S, whose powertrain the First Edition uses.
Bentley said in its November 2025 update to the Beyond100+ strategy that the model would launch “towards the end of 2026,” with “deliveries to markets during 2027.” The First Edition release did not update that timing.
The Torcal will be built by hand on a new production line in Crewe, housed in one of the factory’s original 1938 buildings. Bentley said the model is part of “a significant self-funded investment of more than £350 million ($468 million)” in the company’s future.
Bentley’s Fourth Model Line
The Torcal, whose name Bentley announced in July, is what Bentley calls its fourth model line, alongside the Continental GT, Flying Spur and Bentayga.
Bentley said the name comes from El Torcal de Antequera, a limestone landscape in Andalusia, Spain.
“I believe this is one of the best Bentleys ever,” Chairman and Chief Executive Frank-Steffen Walliser said at the debut.
At five meters long, the Torcal is the shortest four-door car in the lineup. It has a 460-liter trunk and a 90-liter front storage area.
Bentley’s 2020 Beyond100 strategy had promised a first EV in 2025 and an all-electric range by 2030.
In January 2022, the company said it would spend £2.5 billion ($3.3 billion) over ten years and launch a new electric model every year from 2025. The company later moved the all-electric target to 2035.
In November 2025, it said hybridized models would be available until at least 2035 and that the target of being exclusively electric by then “could be extended.” The First Edition release still describes Beyond100+ as a strategy to make the company “exclusively electric from 2035.”
Bentley’s Finances Ahead of the Launch
The First Edition arrives as Bentley prepares to sell its first electric car after a weaker 2025.
Customer deliveries fell 5% last year, which Bentley attributed to “continued market contraction, particularly in China.” Revenue reached €2.6 billion ($2.9 billion), and operating profit was €216 million ($241.8 million), a margin of 8.3%, the company said in March.
Bentley also said in March that efficiency measures “could result in 275 positions being removed” among indirect, non-manufacturing permanent employees.
It said the assembly line for its upcoming electric model was “nearing completion” and that a new paint shop would open later this year.
