Electric vehicle maker Tesla registered 3,152 vehicles in the UK during May, an 8 percent decrease compared to the same month last year, when the company led by Elon Musk sold 3,439 units.
In a bid to boost sales in the last three weeks of the quarter, Tesla has now introduced a new incentive, offering 15,000 free Supercharging miles with the purchase of a new Tesla. This offer is applicable to both inventory and custom order vehicles delivered on or before the last day of June.
In an email sent on Monday, the company stated, “With Superchargers placed on convenient routes across the country and Europe, you can go anywhere with Tesla. Just enter a destination and Trip Planner will automatically route you to charging options along the way.”
The incentive aims to attract future orders with delivery before June 30, 2024. “We’re offering 15,000 miles of free Supercharging with the purchase of your new Tesla. This offer is only valid while stocks last. Explore our immediately available vehicles, ready for delivery including, Model Y Rear-Wheel Drive, available from £399 per month,” Tesla added.

Tesla registered a significant decrease drop sales in Germany last month, with registrations plummeting by 64 percent year-over-year, according to data released by the German Federal Motor Transport Association (KBA).
The automaker registered 1,896 units, representing a 0.8 percent market share for the month. In April, Tesla introduced a 0 percent interest financing program to the German market.
NEVER MISS AN UPDATE
The overall registration of passenger cars in Germany fell to 236,425 units in May, marking declines both month-over-month and year-over-year.
This includes battery electric vehicles (BEVs), which comprised 12.6 percent of new registrations, totaling 29,708 units. This figure represents a substantial 30.6 percent decline compared to May 2023.
Last week, the company has cut the prices of almost all its models in Denmark with discounts ranging between 10,000 to 35,000 Danish krone. (approximately $4,400).
The adjustments, effective immediately, affect the Model 3 and Model Y in different variants with the exception of the recently launched Performance version of the Model 3.
