Rivian lowered the financing rate on its 2026 Dual-motor R1T and R1S to 1.99% for October and extended a promotional rate to the 2027 model year, while giving buyers until the end of November to take delivery.
The 1.99% annual percentage rate now applies across every 2026 Dual configuration and the Tri on 60-month loans, down from 2.99% for the Dual in September, according to Rivian’s offers page.
Rivian, founded and led by RJ Scaringe, will be reporting its third quarter vehicle deliveries in the upcoming days.
The 2027 R1T and R1S in Premium and Performance trims are offered at 3.99% over 60 months. Buyers must order and secure approval between October 1 and November 2 and take delivery by November 30.
The offers were first reported by the Rivian owner and X user Chris Hilbert.
The October Slate
The 2026 Quad stays at 3.99% over 60 months, the same rate it carried in September.
A $1,500 lease bonus continues on 2026 Dual configurations with Large or Max battery, Power Upgrade builds and the Tri, on 24- or 36-month leases.
The Dual Standard, which qualified for the bonus in September, is no longer on the lease bonus list, though it remains eligible for the 1.99% financing.
Rivian displays the lease bonus as “Save $1,500 on select R1” on its offers page.
Each offer is limited to “very well-qualified” US buyers and cannot be combined with other public offers unless Rivian permits it, according to the terms.
What the Rates Mean
Rivian’s example prices a 2026 R1T Dual Standard at $74,885 including destination, financed at 1.99% for $1,304.55 a month after a $500 deposit.
At September’s 2.99% rate, Rivian quoted $1,337.92 a month for the same truck, a difference of about $2,000 over five years.
A 2026 R1T Quad at $117,885 costs $2,164.84 a month at 3.99%, unchanged from September.
For the 2027 lineup, Rivian prices an R1T Premium at $81,885, or $1,500.92 a month at 3.99%.
The 2026 R1T Dual with Large battery carries the same $81,885 price, and at 1.99% it would cost about $1,427 a month on Rivian’s rate factors, around $74 less than the 2027 Premium, or roughly $4,400 over five years.
The 2027 models also do not qualify for the $1,500 lease bonus.
What Ended
The $1,000 discount on any new R1 that Rivian added on September 23 for orders through the end of the third quarter does not appear among the October offers.
Nor do the Stealth Package discount of up to $2,200 and the Road Trip Package accessory offer of up to $2,500 that ran in August and September.
September’s offers required delivery by September 30, the end of the quarter, while October’s run into a second month.
A Year of Falling and Rising Rates
Rivian opened 2026 with 0% financing on Dual Performance and Tri builds, extended to the Quad in February.
It moved to 1.99% in March, cut to 0.99% in April, raised rates in July and then offered 0.99% on the Tri in a late-July push.
The Tri rate rose to 1.99% on August 12, and in September the Dual was set at 2.99% and the Quad at 3.99%.
The lease bonus has shrunk over the same period, from $3,000 in August to $1,500 in September and October.
Same Playbook as Last October
October’s structure mirrors the one Rivian used a year ago, when it offered 1.99% on the outgoing model year and 3.99% on the new 2026 R1, according to its October 2025 terms.
Rivian funds these offers itself since the $7,500 federal EV tax credit expired on September 30, 2025.
The October offers cover only the R1, and none applies to the R2.
Rivian also adjusted its October lease quotes, cutting those on the 2027 R1 by up to $30 a month and raising those on 2026 stock by $20.
