The Swedish electric vehicle maker Polestar announced on Tuesday that will debut the Polestar 5 prototype and the limited-edition Polestar 2 BST edition 270 at the Goodwood Festival of Speed on 23 June.
“Goodwood is our favorite place to show our cars in an enthusiast environment,” comments Polestar CEO, Thomas Ingenlath. “This year, we are thrilled to showcase Polestar 5 going up the hill! Our UK R&D team is doing an amazing job developing the car, and we are proud to be able to highlight their hard work at this early stage.”

The Polestar 5 prototype will be stationed in the First Glance Paddock and complete several drives up the hill during the event. Polestar Precept, the concept car that is evolving into Polestar 5, will be on the main Polestar stand, together with Polestar’s electric roadster concept and the Polestar 2 BST edition 270.
The updated Polestar 2 will be positioned in Electric Avenue, and Polestar will again host its exclusive test drives adjacent to the main event area at Molecomb, where visitors will have the opportunity to book a Polestar 2 test drive on a closed route on site.
Polestar has debuted various cars at the iconic event over the years – including the Polestar 1 prototype in 2018 and the Experimental Polestar 2 in 2021. The limited-edition Polestar 1 in Sun and the Experimental Polestar 2 will be stationed alongside the Polestar 5 prototype in the First Glance Paddock, and also drive up the hill.
In line with the ongoing development of Polestar 5, the latest episode of Polestar’s YouTube documentary series, “Precept: From Concept to Car”, reveals the process of creating the production car’s interior.
On Friday that its model Polestar 2 was awarded with by Auto Trader with 3 prizes: New Car of the Year, Most Loved Car and Best Premium Electric Car. In addition, EcoCar magazine has voted the Polestar 2 its Best Electric Compact Executive Car during its 2022 Electrified Top 50 awards.
Last week, Polestar unveiled that has taken over 32,000 customer orders globally for Polestar 2 since the start of 2022, representing an increase of 290% versus the same period in 2021.
One day after teasing the new SUV model, Polestar unveiled recently the first image of the upcoming Polestar 3 that will debut in October 2022. Polestar 3 will feature a dual-motor drivetrain and a large battery, with a range target of over 600 km (WLTP). Polestar 3 will, over time, offer autonomous highway piloting powered by the best-in-class LiDAR sensor from Luminar and centralized NVIDIA computing power.
Last week, the electric vehicle maker announced the Polestar 2 BST edition 270, a version with 476 hp built to deliver a superior dynamic experience. The new version brings mechanical modifications along with key design enhancements to elevate itself above standard Polestar 2 models.
