Onvo’s L90 SUV Faces 4–6 Week Wait Time After Launch

Nio’s sub-brand Onvo began deliveries of its new L90 SUV in the six-seat configuration earlier on Friday across over 40 cities in China, less than 24 hours after the vehicle was officially launched.

All three six-seat trims — Ultra, Max, and Pro — are currently listed with estimated delivery times of 4 to 6 weeks, according to the brand’s official configurator.

For customers placing orders this Friday, the estimated delivery window is between late August and mid-September.

Prices start at 265,800 yuan ($36,910) for the Pro, followed by the Max at 279,800 yuan ($38,860) and the Ultra at 299,800 yuan — equivalent to $41,630. The prices apply to customers acquiring the SUV together with the 85kWh battery pack.

The seven-seat version of the L90, featuring a 2+3+2 layout, is expected to begin deliveries in late September, according to the EV maker.

Given that timeline, wait times for the 7-seat variant are currently at 8 to 10 weeks.

Buyers who place orders by August 31 and lock in their configuration are eligible for a limited-time launch package.

The offer includes a five-year NOA assisted driving license valued at 19,200 yuan ($2,670), discounts of up to 60% on selected optional equipment — such as premium exterior colors, 21-inch wheels, and electric side steps — worth up to 11,200 yuan ($1,550), a full set of premium cotton cloud-feel cushions valued at 1,028 yuan, and 3,000 delivery points.

Onvo said earlier this Friday that it delivered 5,976 vehicles in July, down 6.6% from June.

The family-oriented brand had delivered 6,400 vehicles in June, 6,281 in May and 4,400 in April.

Deliveries are expected to more than double in August to a new record as Nio’s founder and CEO William Li sees 7,000 units handed over this month for the new SUV as an “achievable” target.

As reported earlier this Friday, Citi analyst Jeff Chung said the firm expects a monthly run-rate for the L90 of between 8,000 and 9,000 units — above the current consensus.
