NIO posted yesterday a job vacancy for an EU SSC Finance team leader in Budapest, Hungary. It’s the first time the company hires or mention the country pointing to an upcoming entering on this market.

“The EU SSC Finance team leader will be responsible for leading and managing the operations of the financial team in NIO’s shared services center in Budapest to facilitate the fast-growing business in the European markets. After entering the European Market through Norway, the EV maker plans to expand to four new european countries this year: Germany, Sweden, Denmark and the Netherlands.

On January 22nd, the company revealed that the ET7 Model — announced last year during NIO DAY 2020 — will arrive to Norway during Q4. It was also announced that the new ET5 Model, with 1,000km range, will be available in Norway (and several other global markets) during the Spring of 2023.

NIO announced yesterday that the production and manufacturing of ET5 Model is “in full swing” in the Hefei Factory. The first units of the model unveiled during the last NIO Day, held last December, are expected to be delivered in September 2022. Recently, CEO William Li revealed that the Nio ET5 would also arrive in Norway and some other overseas markets from spring 2023.

NIO ES7 Model – that wasn’t officially announced by the Chinese EV maker yet – was seen on Spy Mode under tests. The video surged on Weibo, the Chinese Social Network, and suggests that the announcement might not be far. The new model is expected to be announced and released during this year and be among the NIO ET7 and ET5 with the first deliveries.

The first images were leaked on the last days of 2021 NIO SUV Model. NIO ES7 is likely to be a five-seater SUV and might be released at the Beijing Auto Show in 2022.

Two weeks ago, Nio officially opened its first European Battery Swap Station, located in Norway – the first European Country for the Chinese EV maker. By the end of 2022, Nio will have Stations in five different Norwegian cities, with a total of 20 for the Norwegian customers.
