Nio hires Volvo’s Director of Comercial Operations to be the General Manager in Germany

According to the German site KFZ-Betrieb.vogel.de, Ralph Kranz, Director Commercial Operations at Volvo Car Germany for the past 10 years, will join Nio in March. Kranz has many years of experience with the Auto Sector, having worked with other companies such as Aston Martin, Toyota and Lexus.

Kranz joined Volvo in 2012 entering for the Cordenation the field Service Sales and after sales before taking over the management of sales field service in 2013. The year after, the graduate business economist was appointed sales manager of the importer. Since the beginning of 2020, he has been developing the newly created Volvo business unit “Customer Retention and Used Cars”, which bundles the customer service and the used car business under one roof.

Ralph Kranz will be the General Manager for the German Market, one of the next European Countries Nio will enter this year. Nio vehicles will be available in 25 countries by 2025.

Yesterday, Nio officially opened its first European Battery Swap Station, located in Norway – the first European Country for the Chinese EV maker. By the end of 2022, Nio will have Stations in five different Norwegian cities, with a total of 20 for the Norwegian customers.
