Mads Rørvig, CEO of The Danish Car Importers Association welcomed, through his LinkedIn account, Nio as the new member of the Danish Car Importers Association. On January 10th, Nio published the first Job Post on LinkedIn regarding the expansion for Denmark this year. Last November, Espen Byrjall (Nio’s Power and Operations Manager) announced that the company was already hiring for Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Germany and The Netherlands.

“The Chinese electric car brand NIO has just become a member of De Danske Bilimportører. NIO was founded in 2014 and has been bringing high-quality electric cars to market since 2018. In the past year, NIO has delivered over 90,000 cars, mainly to the Chinese market. In October last year, orders were opened in Norway, and in 2022 orders will also be opened in Denmark, Sweden, Germany and the Netherlands. In addition to car production, NIO will launch Power Swap stations that allow battery swapping as a complement to charging. This will be launched in Denmark later this year. Globally, NIO employs over 17,000 people and is headquartered in Shanghai and listed on the New York Stock Exchange.” — said the CEO of The Danish Car Importers Association.
Last November, Espen Byrjall, Nio’s Power and Operations Manager, announced on his LinkedIn that the company was already hiring for more than 50 positions for Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Germany and The Netherlands.

During the last week and acording to SEC, Originalwish Limited, the company founded by Nio’s CEO, bought another 3 Million shares ($68 Million) having now a total of 177,467,776 shares. The company has currently a 10.40% stake in Nio being on the Top-3 of Institutional Owners among Tencent and Baillie Gifford.

On January 19th, Nio officially opened its first European Battery Swap Station, located in Norway – the first European Country for the Chinese EV maker. By the end of 2022, Nio will have Stations in five different Norwegian cities, with a total of 20 for the Norwegian customers.
