Lucid to Participate in Zürich Auto Show with Gravity and Air Sapphire

Lucid Motors will be showcasing its EV lineup at the Zürich Auto Show in Switzerland, as it prepares to begin deliveries of the Gravity SUV in the country early next year.

The Auto Show is scheduled to start on Thursday (Oct.30) and run until the second of November at the Zurich Exhibition Hall.

Lucid will be showcasing its models in Hall 2, at the Booth C02.

The EV maker will display both the Gravity SUV and the Air sedan at the event, including its most powerful and fully spec’d variant, the Air Sapphire.

Over 60 brands will be present at the Auto Show, including US EV maker Tesla and the Geely-backed Polestar.

Chinese new energy vehicle (NEV) manufacturers such as BYD, XPeng, JAC, Stellantis-backed Leapmotor and Geely-backed Lotus and Zeekr will also participate in the event.

The Auto Show will also offer an ‘EV Experience,’ in which attendees can test-drive several battery electric vehicles — including the Lucid Air Touring and Grand Touring.

Lucid expanded to Switzerland in late 2022, establishing its first showroom in Geneva.

Last month, it opened the second store in the country and the 8th in Europe, located in Zurich.

The company sold 20 Air sedans in 2023 and 26 in 2024.

As of Tuesday, year to date registrations in the Swiss market were at 54 vehicles, according to the vehicle registration platform EU-EVs.

Out of the 54 units, 13 were registered in the first quarter, 15 in the second quarter, and 26 in the third one.

The opening event of the Zurich studio marked the premiere of the Gravity model in the country, just a week after its its European debut at the IAA Auto Show in Munich.

By then, orders for the SUV opened in Switzerland, Germany, the Netherlands and Norway.

Prices for the five-seat Gravity Touring start at €99,900 ($116,300), while the Grand Touring begins at €116,900 ($136,000) and can reach €151,550 ($176,400) fully equipped.

In the Swiss market, the Gravity Touring starts from CHF 108,900 ($136,800), while the Grant Touring variant begins at CHF 125,900 ($158,200).

The Air sedan is priced from CHF 91,900, equivalent to about $115,500.

Gravity’s production for European markets is already underway and first deliveries are scheduled for early January 2026, according to Lucid‘s European chief Lawrence Hamilton.

Lucid is preparing to triple its presence in Europe in 2026. Executives have confirmed the arrival of the luxury EV maker in France, Belgium, Denmark and Italy.

Last week, Lucid has quietly begun hiring software engineers in France, marking the first sign of a local presence in the country ahead of its planned market debut in 2026.

At the same time, the company is introducing a new business model in emerging markets, by introducing dealerships to its direct-to-consumer showrooms.

Lucid Motors confirmed late last month that it is switching to a mixed business model in Germany, as it continues to face weaker than expected demand in Europe’s largest car market.

In an initial phase, Lucid expects to “be represented in 12 to 15 cities” in Germany, then aiming to grow its sales network to approximately 50–60 locations.
