Last April, the electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer XPeng confirmed it would expand to the Spanish and the Portuguese market announcing that Salvador Caetano will be its exclusive distributor in both South European countries.
The brand has accelerated its expansion and is now present in 30 countries and regions, with a network of local dealers and more than 70 via direct sales.
Although the launch date for Portugal is still unknown, the Guangzhou EV maker has already started accepting test drive reservations in Spain.
On its official website, the brand is currently showing a countdown until September 24 stating, “Register to be one of the first testing the new XPeng“.

XPeng aims to enter several right-hand drive markets, including Australia, the United Kingdom, and other countries in Southeast Asia as it targets to double its sales outside China by the end of the year, targeting approximately 20% of its total sales.
The company posted on Tuesday its second-quarter earnings results reporting total revenues of $1.13 billion while forecasting between 41,000 and 45,000 vehicles delivered in the third quarter.
The company’s cheaper model, the Mona M03, will be officially launched on August 27 at XPeng’s 10th anniversary gala.
