Chinese automaker XPeng has announced on Monday that it has expanded into Cambodia, which becomes the first market overseas to sell the brand’s best-selling model, the Mona M03.
Last week, the company officially shipped the first Mona series vehicles to the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. However, no specific markets were unveiled.
The brand enters Cambodia with NSENG Automobile (or No. Seven International Automobile), with a service space and showroom in the capital, Phnom Penh.
In Malaysia, Thailand or Singapore, XPeng‘s lineup only includes the X9 multi-purpose van (MPV) and the G6 SUV, for which the brand produces right-hand drive versions.
According to its Cambodian website, the X9 MPV, the G6 and G9 SUVs and the P7+ models are now available for test drives.
However, pricing details have not yet been unveiled.
The full 2025 lineup will also include the recently launched G7 SUV and the Mona M03 sedan, a best-seller in China.
Last month, the company’s founder and CEO He Xiaopeng revealed that the Mona series would be available overseas.
“In 2026 you can expect a variety of Mona products launched into the Chinese and European markets, as well as in rest of the world,” the chief executive said then, speaking to the media at the IAA Auto Show.
The Mona M03 was launched in China in August 2024.
It has represented over 30% of the company’s monthly sales in July, August, and September.
XPeng aims to double its presence in international markets — from 30 to 60 markets in a year.
Throughout the year, it has entered over 20 regions, with the latest having been the Baltic countries: Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia.
Cambodia becomes its 53th global market, meaning that the company is only seven countries away from completing its annual goal.
A year ago, XPeng expanded further into the MENA region by entering the UAE, in a partnership with Ali & Sons Holding.
Late last week, the company opened a new parts hub in Dubai to strengthen its service support in the region, namely for the G6 and G9 SUVs.
