According to an Weibo user, a NIO ES6 Model was seen today in California, United States. The vehicle has a local licensed plate (California) and not a Chinese or Norwegian one. The Chinese EV maker plans to enter 25 countries within 3 years, as announced during the last NIO Day.
Nio began its international expansion last year when started selling in Norway and will enter another four European Markets during this year: Germany, Sweden, Denmark and The Netherlands.
Facebook user, Adam Lin, caught today the same vehicle on Interstate 880 which is a north–south auxiliary Interstate Highway in the San Francisco Bay Area of Northern California.
Nio opened last week, the first Battery Swap Station outside China, in Norway and plans to have stations in five different Norwegian cities, with a total of 20 for the Norwegian customers.
