NIO delivers the first ES7 units 75 days after the official launch

NIO delivered on Sunday the first units of its new SUV NIO ES7 only seventy-five days after the official launch on June 15. At the time, the EV maker also confirmed the highly anticipated 2022 versions of the older models, including the ES8, ES6, and the EC6.

The first units were delivered on Sunday in the region of Ningbo, a major port and industrial hub in east China which is 200kms away from NIO‘s headquarters in Shanghai. The deliveries will respect the user’s order locking time, destination distance, and also production progress.

The EV maker started shipping the first units last Thursday from its second factory located at NEO Park in Hefei, Anhui province.

The five-seater SUV was officially released on June 15 and features a Cd of 0.263 starting at RMB 468,000 ($69,700 USD) in China. During the launch, the company didn’t give any timeline for the arrival of the SUV in the European Market.

With an estimated range of 930km (simulated estimate according to the China Light-Duty Vehicle Test Cycle), NIO ES7 has a breaking distance 100-0km/h of 33.9m, one of the best results in the category, as said by NIO’s CEO William Li during the presentation.
