The Chinese EV maker NIO announced that the production and manufacturing of ET5 Model is “in full swing” in the Hefei Factory. The first units of the model unveiled during the last NIO Day, held last December, are expected to be delivered in September 2022. Recently, CEO William Li revealed that the Nio ET5 would also arrive in Norway and some other overseas markets from spring 2023.
“At this stage, ET5 has launched an all-round test and verification work, which will mainly complete three major tasks: optimizing the production line process, verifying the functional integrity of the vehicle, and verifying the attributes and performance of the vehicle. Engineers will continuously optimize and improve potential problems in the production process, and put forward stricter requirements for parts and manufacturing processes. Through the trial production of the whole vehicle in small batches, the assembly process of the production line will be gradually adjusted to the optimal state, laying a solid foundation for the mass production of ET5.” — NIO added.

NIO ES7 Model – that wasn’t officially announced by the Chinese EV maker yet – was seen on Spy Mode under tests. The video surged on Weibo, the Chinese Social Network, and suggests that the announcement might not be far. The new model is expected to be announced and released during this year and be among the NIO ET7 and ET5 with the first deliveries.
The first images were leaked on the last days of 2021 NIO SUV Model. NIO ES7 is likely to be a five-seater SUV and might be released at the Beijing Auto Show in 2022.
Two weeks ago, Nio officially opened its first European Battery Swap Station, located in Norway – the first European Country for the Chinese EV maker. By the end of 2022, NIO will have Stations in five different Norwegian cities, with a total of 20 for the Norwegian customers.
