Lucid Partners with PIF-Backed Firm for Fleet Management in Saudi Arabia

EV maker Lucid Motors is partnering with the Public Investment Fund (PIF)-backed company Elm to manage and replace vehicles being used by government fleets and corporate customers in Saudi Arabia.

Elm focuses on digital, security, and digital services for both the public and private sector, and says it serves “over 60,000 private and public organizations on top of individual customers.”

According to the companies, the partnership will allow Lucid to increase the efficiency of vehicle replacement services, including “reporting, technical inspection, maintenance, and logistics services.”

The consultant is backed by the Kingdom’s Public Investment Fund (PIF), which is also the major institutional owner of Lucid, with a current stake of about 58% in the US-based automaker.

In July, Lucid has also signed cooperation agreements with government agency Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC) and the National Automotive and Vehicle Academy (NAVA).

The two collaborations aim at developing EV-focused curricula and training Saudi workers ahead of domestic production ramp-up.

The brand expanded to the region in 2022, with its first showroom in Riyadh and the first deliveries of its Air sedan.

Since then, the company has expanded its sales network, not only in Saudi Arabia but in the UAE, where it opened a Abu Dhabi.

Lucid also has a manufacturing facility in King Abdullah Economic City, where it assembles its Air sedan and Gravity SUV.

The plant is currently being expanded to introduce full vehicle production by late 2026.

Lucid‘s quarterly revenue, together with national vehicle registration data from several countries, provides valuable insight into where its vehicles are actually being sold.

In the second quarter of 2025, revenue from the Middle East jumped to $36.6 million, up sharply from $7.8 million in the first quarter.

Earlier this week, an employee from Lucid Motors Middle East had announced the beginning of Gravity deliveries through a LinkedIn post, as exclusively reported by EV.

The post was meanwhile deleted as the EV maker has not officially communicated the first deliveries.

Earlier in July, Lucid’s Middle East President Faisal Sultan had already teased that Gravity deliveries in Saudi Arabia were “just around the corner.”

Lucid began accepting orders in Saudi Arabia for its SUV in January, with pricing starting at SAR 487,715 ($130,000) for the Grand Touring variant and SAR 416,645 ($111,100) for the Touring trim.
