Lucid Begins Gravity Deliveries in Saudi Arabia

Lucid Motors has delivered the first units of its Gravity SUV in Saudi Arabia, nine months after it opened orders in the country for its second model.

The first Lucid Gravity delivery in the Kingdom was announced on Monday, in a LinkedIn post by the brand’s Sales Advisor محمد مؤمنه (Mohammed Moumena).

He shared that the vehicle was delivered in Jeddah, where Lucid operates one of its two permanent studios in Saudi Arabia. The other location is in Riyadh, the country’s capital.

“A new chapter of electric luxury begins in Jeddah,” Moumena wrote, adding that “the first Lucid Gravity was proudly delivered to its new owner,” in the presence of Mr. Moaz Al-Kazzaz, Head of Retail Sales in Saudi Arabia.

Lucid began accepting orders in Saudi Arabia for its SUV in January, with pricing starting at SAR 487,715 ($130,000) for the Grand Touring variant and SAR 416,645 ($111,100) for the Touring trim.

Earlier in July, Sultan had already teased that Gravity deliveries in Saudi Arabia were “just around the corner.”

By then, Sultan stated that Lucid is a “global company now,” adding that the EV maker established its Middle East regional headquarters in Riyadh nearly a year ago.

Deliveries began with the ‘Grand Touring’ variant, as production of the cheaper ‘Touring’ variant is only planned to begin in Lucid Motors‘ Arizona plant later this year.

The California-based EV maker, backed by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF), also has established a plant in the Kingdom.

Following the latest investment round, PIF currently owns a stake of about 58% in the US carmaker.

Lucid is currently upgrading its semi knock-down (SKD) facility to fully produce vehicles starting from late next year, instead of only assembling semi knock-down kits.

Last month, Lucid‘s President for the Middle East Region, Faisal Sultan, said that the EV maker will be producing its mid-size platform in the plant, which is already “being designed and engineered.”

Last week, the executive said that the company is planning to introduce an agency sales model in its upcoming Middle East markets.

Despite having a direct-to-consumer model in both Saudi Arabia and the UAE, Sultan said that a agency model will help Lucid “expand quickly in the smaller markets.”

Lucid does not break out deliveries by market or by region, but its quarterly revenue figures offer the clearest idea of where its vehicles are being sold.

In the second quarter of 2025, Middle East revenue surged to $36.6 million, a sharp increase from $7.8 million in the January-March period.

Third quarter figures will be reported with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) in the first half of November.

After solidifying its position in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region, the EV maker aims to continue its expansion with Morocco being one of the markets under evaluation.

The Gravity SUV also debuted in Europe last month, at the IAA Auto Show in Munich.

Prices for the Gravity Touring start at €99,900 ($115,600) for the five-seat configuration, and can be placed across Germany, the Netherlands, Switzerland and Norway, Lucid‘s European markets.
