Lucid Motors has lowered leasing prices on its 2025 Air sedans still listed on its website, as the company looks to clear remaining inventory of the previous version.
Additionally, the latest cut comes two weeks before the $7,500 US EV tax credit expires .
The EV maker has launched the 2026 model year Air sedan in July, with slightly changed prices. Its standard trim, the Lucid Air Pure, starts from $70,900.
The Air Touring and the Air Grand Touring are priced from $79,900 and $114,900.
The Lucid Air Sapphire, its high-performance version, has a fixed price of $249,000.
Lucid‘s website shows the company is currently selling both 2025 and 2026 model year units of the Air sedan.
As of press time, several 2025 Air Pure units are listed at a full price of $69,400, with monthly payments in leasing contracts starting as low as $509.
The price includes complimentary offers, such as the EV credit, an On-site bonus for inventory units, and a $2,000 Loyalty Credit.
If excluding Lucid‘s discounts and with the EV credit alone, until September 30, the vehicle can be leased from an estimated $651 per month.
As the September 30 deadline for the US EV consumer credit approaches, several electric vehicle manufacturers — including Tesla, Rivian, and Lucid —are highlighting the incentive on their websites.
Industry analysts expect an increase in EV adoption between July and September, as consumer demand has grown in response to the expiring credit.
Rivian and Lucid are placing greater emphasis on leasing options, since the eligibility requirements for the EV tax credit are less restrictive under lease agreements.
By contrast, when purchasing an EV, one of the requirements to be eligible is that the vehicle’s price is below $80,000 — a threshold that most Lucid vehicles exceed.
Earlier this year, Lucid also offered discounts of up to $31,500 on select 2025 Air models, marking its most aggressive promotional campaign to date as it seeked to boost deliveries before the end of the second quarter.
The new 2026 Air vehicles are also eligible for the combined incentive package which includes the $7,500 EV Credit, a $2,000 On-Site bonus for inventory units, and a $2,000 Trade-in allowance.
This trade-in bonus only applies if customers are trading “competitive premium vehicles,” from brands such as Alfa Romeo, BMW, Jaguar, Land Rover, Mercedes, Maserati, Porsche, Rivian, Tesla, Volvo, Aston Martin, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Rolls Royce, among others.
These offers were also available in the previous quarter, for 2025 model year vehicles. The discounts are now applied to vehicles delivered until September 30.
Lucid also offers a $2,000 Loyalty Discount. This is available to US customers who already own a Lucid vehicle and are purchasing or leasing a new 2026 Air that is in stock at the time of order.
However, customers cannot combine the Loyalty Discount with the Trade-in Allowance.
