Lucid listed a used 2022 Air Grand Touring Performance on its website for $63,498, about $115,500 less than the 1,050-hp sedan cost new.
The trim launched at $179,000 in the US in 2022, which puts the used price 64.5% below its original MSRP. Lucid stopped selling the trim new from the 2024 model year, so used units are now the only way to buy one.
The listing is no longer on Lucid’s website, a day after a Reddit user shared a screenshot of it. It is not clear whether the car was sold or the listing was withdrawn.
“Unicorn Lucid available on website,” user ‘Busy_Recognition_263’ wrote in the r/LUCID community on Thursday.
“The Lucid website has an Air GTP listed. Great opportunity to own a rare spec with over 1000HP,” the user added.
The screenshot shows the car on Lucid’s website at $63,498, marked “Available In 2 – 3 Weeks.” It does not show how many miles the car had been driven.
The listing gives 446 miles of EPA-estimated range, 1,050 hp and a 0-60 mph time of 2.6 seconds, matching the specifications of the Grand Touring Performance.
Only One 2022 Air Left
As of Friday morning, Lucid’s own used inventory showed a single 2022 model year car when filtered for 2021 and 2022 vehicles.
That car is a standard 2022 Air Grand Touring with 47,898 miles, priced at $44,998 and also marked as available in two to three weeks.
That listing is 70.8% below the $154,000 MSRP the standard Grand Touring carried after Lucid’s 2022 price increase took effect on June 1. Reservation holders who confirmed orders kept the earlier $139,000 price, against which the discount is 67.6%.
It is rated at 469 miles of EPA-estimated range, with 819 hp and a 0-60 mph time of 3.0 seconds, on 21-inch Aero Blade wheels.
No Grand Touring Performance appears in the inventory data Lucid’s website draws on, which covered 90 used vehicles across all model years nationwide on Friday.
1,050 HP and 446 Miles
Lucid announced the Grand Touring Performance in April 2022, with US deliveries starting that June.
The dual-motor sedan produced 1,050 hp, compared with 819 hp for the standard Grand Touring.
At launch, it was the most powerful version of the Air on sale after the limited Dream Edition Performance, which produced 1,111 hp.
The Air Grand Touring Performance set the fastest time for a production car at the 2022 Goodwood Festival of Speed Timed Shootout, Lucid said, completing the hillclimb in 50.79 seconds.
When Lucid announced higher Air prices in May 2022, effective June 1, the Grand Touring Performance stayed at $179,000, while the standard Grand Touring rose to $154,000 from $139,000, Kelley Blue Book reported.
Lucid dropped the trim for the 2024 model year as it simplified the Air lineup and cut prices.
The three-motor Air Sapphire has since taken its place as the performance flagship.
Lucid delivered 4,369 vehicles across all trims in 2022 and has not disclosed how many Grand Touring Performance units it built.
Steep Depreciation
Early Lucid Airs have reportedly lost value faster than rival luxury EVs.
A standard 2022 Air Grand Touring has depreciated by about 70.8% over four years, Jalopnik reported in July, compared with 58.1% for the Tesla Model S and 65.8% for the Mercedes-Benz EQS, both of which started at lower prices.
The Tesla Model S was discontinued earlier this year as Tesla increases its focus on robotics.
Lucid is currently offering 6.99% APR financing for up to 84 months on pre-owned Airs, according to its website.
“Preowned MY2022-MY2025 Lucid Air Pure, Touring and Grand Touring available at 6.99% APR for 84 months for well-qualified buyers,” the company says. “Must place order and apply for financing by 11:59 p.m. ET on September 30, 2026 and must take delivery within 30 days of placing order.”
